My stay at bab rimal hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like royalty, attending to every detail with warmth and professionalism. The rooms were a perfect blend of modern luxury and traditional Moroccan design, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Every comfort was thoughtfully provided, from plush bedding to exquisite toiletries.
But the true highlight of our experience was the unforgettable desert excursion to Erg Chegaga. Our guide was knowledgeable and passionate about the desert, sharing fascinating insights into the landscape and its history. Camel riding through the golden dunes at sunset felt like a scene from a dream, and sandboarding added an adventurous twist. The serenity of the desert at night, under a blanket of stars, was a spiritual experience in itself.
Dinner by the campfire, surrounded by the majestic beauty of the Erg, was a feast of Moroccan flavors, and the staff ensured every part of the excursion was seamlessly organized. For anyone seeking a blend of luxury and adventure, Hotel bab rimal and their desert excursion is an experience not to be missed. We can't wait to return!

If you want to live an unforgettable experience in the M'Hamid desert this is your camp!! The food is great and all the staff is very friendly. The tents are equipped with everything and the bed is very comfortable. You have different excursions to get to know the desert. Renting a quad is 100x100 recommended!! I will definitely repeat

We only had about 16 hours there in total but it was a friendly welcome, a big breakfast and the right location for what we needed.

When I arrived at this property, it was under construction and the owner has a second hotel in which I stayed.
Welcome therefore was a bit disjointed, but at the new hotel I stayed at which was 600 m away. The staff are friendly.
The hotel was well equipped with nice rooms, and a great ambience the food was good and served in a buffet style.
I’ve given them a rating of eight overall, because of the obvious need to relocate because of the construction works that were taking place. However the hotel I stayed in I will give it 10 to.

We had the most incredible 2-night stay in the Moroccoan Sahara - an experience I'll never forget! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfectly organized by Abdoul, who made us feel so welcome and took such great care of us.
The adventure included trekking through stunning desert
landscapes, a breathtaking camel ride to Erg Chegaga, and the pure thrill of sandboarding down the dunes. Evenings were magical,
with delicious food, live music around the campfire, and the best company under a sky full of stars.

The host, Mbarek, is such a wonderful soul. Very relaxing to be around.
The sunrise, sunset, and stargazing from the accomodation terrace and outdoor area are incredible. During my stay there was only the sound of the roosters and birds to be heard in the morning 👌

If you want to avoid big crowds and are willing to travel a bit then M'Hamid may be a good choice. You are 2 hours by 4x4 and a couple days by camel to see the Erg Chigaga. When I was visiting in December there were not large crowds which enhanced the trip for me.

A busy village with normal Moroccan/Desert life and passing tourists.
Only a few tourists stay overnight. Limited number of restaurants. People are very friendly and welcoming.
The whole village can be walked in 40 minutes. We had food at AZWAD which was nice.
The tourist shops are typical of Morocco but not too pushy.

This small town is the entrance to the Sahara desert, so it’s an advantage for those who come for the trekking or the desert tours. The disadvantage is the sandstorm that hits directly the houses and streets of the town.
Nevertheless the people in the town are cheerful and friendly, they welcome the visitors with lovely smile
The town is rather new to the local people, a few km away from the town, the vast oasis spread in which embraces several Ksars with ancient earth and cray buildings. One can explore those ksars, meet the people in the communities, that is a precious experience apart from the camel rides or trekking in the desert.

M'Hamid is the perfect gateway to the Sahara Desert.
M'Hamid is the perfect gateway to the Sahara Desert. The village exudes a peaceful atmosphere, and the locals are incredibly welcoming. We used M'Hamid as our starting point for an unforgettable desert adventure. The camel trek into the dunes and the night under the starry sky were simply magical. M'Hamid is a hidden gem worth exploring!

Perfect place to start your trip into the Sahara desert.
Perfect place to start your trip into the Sahara desert. We went to the Chegaga dunes, 60 km by 4x4 on dirt tracks. There are several bedouin camps you can book for an unforgettable overnight stay. We booked with Chegaga berber camp. We highly recommend them.
The return trip was 90€ (900 dirham) and well worth it.

My wife and I stumbled across jardin du desert by accident and it turned out to be one of the best places to stay on our 14 day trip around Morocco.Omar and his staff were extremely welcoming and treated us like family; not just customers. We enjoyed the most wonderful dinner out back in the beautiful garden. We also booked a desert tour through the hotel which turned out to be an unforgettable experience, hamza made sure of it. Very affordable prices as well. We had a wonderful time here, I highly recommend jardin du desert!!
Great value for money! Clean room with aircon and bathroom with separate toilet and shower which was a very nice. The tour to erg chegaga is also very cool; moroccos highest dunes and a night under the stars if you come during the warmer times.
Lovely family that run the camp. A lovely peaceful spot, tranquil. Superb value for money and great place for our 2 day stop over with motorcycles in Mhamid. Thank You KDC. 😍
