I was here when I arrived in Morocco for 4 days, and am back just for one day before departing. Rabat is a very impressive city. Really beautiful and so much fun to enjoy the Kasbah and the Medina, along with the coastal areas. All within walking distance of the Medina area. The people are very friendly and there's lots to do in this big beautiful city.

Rabat is a vibrant city (though we were there during Ramadan and tricky to find eg. cafes open during the day). Taxis cheap and reliable.
We found everyone incredibly friendly and helpful . Not much English spoken - French fine,
We felt very safe - particularly good as we were in the midst of the medina (a maze!) Found some excellent restaurants around this area but behind closed doors! - by luck.
We took the train to Meknes - 2 hours each way but worth it - hired a driver and added on a trip out to Volubis, fantastic Roman ruins.
Museum of Contemporary Art super - plus of course the Hassan tower and Mohammed V tomb etc. Andalusian gardens by Museum of Adornment and cafe there a must.

More characterful than we'd expected from the guide books.
More characterful than we'd expected from the guide books. One unmissable sight in Chella - the remains of a Roman (and other) settlements. The Kasbah was intimate and fascinating to walk through while the Andalusian gardens and the attached museum were relaxing - despite the lively school groups. We hadn't time to visit the Archeological Museum and hope to return and see it next time.

We had two days in Rabat, one would have been enough. The area round the river is pretty, it's interesting to catch the tram, the medina was bigger than we thought it would be. But otherwise, there is not much to do.

The capital city Rabat is fairly new, clean and neat, with new buildings and wide boulevards. It does not look as decrepit and run-down as the old Casablanca city centre. Enjoy walking in the sprawling souk, the river mouth corniche, the sea-front, and visits to the museums.

Dar Shaeir exceeded our expectations! The riad is stunning and beautifully renovated. Our room was huge and very tastefully decorated with all the amenities and more for a very comfortable stay.
Siham and her team are absolutely wonderful and took excellent care of us. If you get the chance ask Halima to prepare a couscous which was one of the best we have ever eaten during our many travels in Morocco. We can highly recommend this accommodation for your stay in Rabat!
Everything about this hotel was exceptional: the staff is amazing, the food is phenomenal, the hotel is the definition of architecture becoming art, and the rooms are to dream for!
I also absolutely recommend the spa! It was so relaxing, and the Moroccan Hammam was the best I've ever experienced! Special thank you to Raja and the whole spa team!
Anybody visiting Rabat should definitely stay here - It is an absolute slice of heaven! I can't wait to return!
Everything was perfect. We made the best choice booking. Cleanliness is on another level. Room was modern.Everything was just perfect. Could not ask for a better location. The staff were very kind and helpful. Best breakfast we had in Morocco. We highly recommend booking.
- Nice roof terrace with great view over Rabat
- good location in Old Town
- Comfortable bed
- clean room and good light
- breakfast was better than in the other Riads we had during our Marocco Roadtrip. However, still not a breakfast that stands out
This is a great hotel in a good location. The staff are all exceptional. Breakfast is very good, it's quiet, comfortable and spotlessly clean! I highly recommend this hotel. Thanks so much. P.S. Rabat is an amazing and beautiful city!
