For a modest price, we got a punctual pickup at the parking lot, help with our luggage, and a spotless room. The beds were very comfortable, the Wi-Fi worked well, and the shower was hot—great for cold days. The hosts arranged a private tour, breakfasts on the terrace were nice, and the mint tea was always available.

Tetouan is a quiet, less touristy city with a Spanish influence in its architecture. It’s about 1h15 from Chefchaouen by bus and Grand taxis take you up the coast to M’diq of which the beach boardwalk is the highlight. People are friendly and helpful but beware of men trying to take you to the Berber markets as they only want to sell you carpets!

We were there to visit family so we got to visit the local places as well as more touristy areas. Martil and M'Diq are two coastal towns about 20 minutes away by car. The vibe is very different from southern Morocco, and worth visiting for a new perspective of the country.

This was an absolutely fascinating city.
This was an absolutely fascinating city. The Medina is authentic, speaking to its colorful history and the people within the Medina were so helpful. We got lost more than once and absolutely had an amazing time. We even managed to find the tannery, which is only used by nine families now. This will probably be one of our favorite places that we will have visited during our month-long stay. We highly recommend El Reducto for accommodations, dinner, its incredible history, and decor, as well as the kind and friendly staff. Be sure to ask about all of the decorations and the photographs hanging on the walls. This place is like a mini museum. Enjoy!!

I found this city very lively, full of people, probably locals who emigrated abroad and came here to spend their holidays(august). The city is quite clean and tidy, the inhabitants are quite kind, the shopkeepers are not too pushy.I think it's worth spending a few days.

I visited Tetouan at the time of Ramadan, which added a new dimension to the whole experience. The medina is of a fair size, possible to walk through it using the markings. The people were also friendly and willing to help if asked for directions.
The Archeological Museum has a nice collection of mosaics from the Roman time.
The bus terminal is a short walk from the medina, but I found that not all the buses listed were actually running. Out of 3 buses in direction Tangier (8:00, 8:15 and 8:30) there was only one bus on the morning of my departure (at 8:45 🙂 ! )

A prosperous town with lots of people living their lives out on the streets. The Medina is not as pretty as the Fes Medina but felt more relevant to the daily needs of Moroccans and much less crowded. Delicious and inexpensive pastries available everywhere!

I always choose Hotel Al Mandari when in Tetouan. I love the Junior Suite on the top floor with the very large balcony and a view of the mountains. The rooms are very clean and there is ample hot water. The breakfast buffet has a large array of items to please everyone. The dining room staff are a great bunch of guys, very courteous and attentive. Front desk staff are also helpful and welcoming. Don't hesitate to stay at this hotel.
The Riad was beautiful, with spacious and immaculately clean rooms that comfortably accommodated three people. The manager and his family were exceptionally friendly, assisting us with printing our tickets and even providing breakfast for our early departure before breakfast service began. It's a lovely place that I highly recommend, especially if you're seeking a peaceful retreat in Morocco.
This house is amazing! The family was very welcoming and Youssef made our short stay great. He even woke up early to have breakfast ready for us before going to the airport. The room was huge and beautiful, and the location was great specially if you have to take an early flight from Tetouan.
The building but very especially the attention of the staff, starting with Brahim, a very attentive, elegant and interesting host, a good traveler himself and a good source to know and understand better Morocco
The best hostel you would find in Tetouan! It’s a family owned business and they are the nicest people you’ll meet and stay with, big shout out to Yacin, Jaouad, Israa and babygirl Camilia ❤️
