The city is safe. I did have problems with the airport passport control, and my passport is a Danish bio metric passport, apparently the security was very insecure about passport check. The city is small, and with a good will, you can see everything in one day in the capital. Maximum two days is enough to stay in the city. Honestly, it was not super exciting city.

The city, despite some negative opinions from other users, makes a good impression. Clean, spacious, the city center is nicely lit at night. Some sidewalks are a bit bumpy but you can see that they are planned to be renovated. Very good and cheap public transport. Very friendly residents. A day and a half is a bit too short a time to see everything. Especially since the plan also included a trip to the Cricova winery.

Chisinau is a city where you can both sit in European-style cafes and stroll along the main street with its shops or the newly renovated boudoir with plane trees, but also wander into the unrestored areas with wild construction from years past and the housing estates built during the Soviet era. A bit of a city of contrasts. It is slowly changing, due to the influence of countless EU grants and the sheer presence of a large number of EU diplomats and staff from various European organisations.
It is not a big city and the centre and adjacent area can be moved around on foot. Alternatively there is quite a good public transport service, again a 6 LEI ride, even to the airport.
There are several parks around town with lakes/ponds, places to exercise and for coffee that I recommend visiting.
There aren't many monuments and they are generally not in very good condition. But one can walk around the city and enjoy the creativity in building practices, wiring and communist era architecture.
There are, however, a few museums that are worth a visit. And market, is it place worth a visit too.
The people tend to be friendly. Not much English here. Occasionally with the younger generation, but generally Russian or Romanian comes in handy.

Everything is beyond great. The best value for money hotel I have ever been to. The location is very close to the centre. The room is spacious and so clean. The staff at the reception (Doina and Emily) is very very helpfully and attentive. We got full instruction on the best sight seeing in Chisinau:) in a nutshell💪The breakfast is the best (the pancakes are njami and I have never tasted a capuchino so great:) there is also free parking available. I could go on and on …. But come and see for yourself!
The hotel is in the city center and just a short walk from pretty much most places you'd go to as a tourist in Chisinau. The room and bathroom were clean, mini bar was nicely stacked up and the bed was comfortable. There's a really nice restaurant on the ground floor that serves both some national and international dishes. Some staff speaks English, most know Russian. Overall a good stay.
Indeed a great location, maybe 10 minutes walk from the main street in Chisinau. The hotel is actually a complex with pools and small beer gardens; I'm sure it's even nicer there in the summer. I requested a late check-out due to my late arrival, and they assisted me with that, it really saved my day :)
Comfortable hotel with good location, everything was neat and clean. Very friendly and helpful staff, I would especially like to thank Dima and Olya. Will definitely stay here when I'm in Chisinau next time.
Small hotel in the center of Chisinau, close to most important sights like cathedral or the big market, helpful staff, the room had everything you need during holiday and was pretty spacious
