We booked 2 rooms and we requested high floor rooms next to one another with a seaview! Our request was met and we were pleased about it.

We recently stayed at the Kempinski Hotel and were disappointed to find that several key areas of the hotel — including the pool area and the outdoor terrace where breakfast is normally served — were off limits due to filming activities. These facilities were advertised on the website and played a part in our decision to book. Unfortunately, we were not informed about the restrictions in advance, and only found out on the day that we wouldn’t be able to enjoy our coffee outdoors or access much of the garden area. This lack of communication was disappointing and should have been made clear prior to booking.
The Duke Boutique Hotel is located in the centre of Victoria, on the island of Gozo, next to Villa Rundle Gardens.

Check in was very efficient and helpful staff. Gave me my room earlier than the time and am grateful for this. Time spent on explaining the map and buses. Thank you

Qala is a charming and authentic Gozitan village, perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle, even during busy periods in Gozo. With its traditional limestone buildings and peaceful atmosphere it offers a true taste of island life. The village square has some great dining options, and its proximity to Hondoq ir-Rummien beach makes it an excellent base for exploring the island.

The accommodation was in a nice street, in a nice house.
The accommodation was in a nice street, in a nice house. Although I didn't meet the host, everything was easy to understand, a key with my name was waiting in an envelope at the front door. I liked the authentic architecture and furniture of the house. I enjoyed that everything was thought of in the common areas, there was even a washing machine. Perfect cleanliness.

Qala is relatively unspoiled by excessive building.
Qala is relatively unspoiled by excessive building. Yes there are some newer construction but unlike many places in Malta its not excessive. The village is like a time capsule from 19th/20th century with the amazing parish church at its center. Qala is quiet with the loudest sounds being the bells that sound the quarters from the church during the day. If you are planning to stay in Gozo I recommend Qala.

Qala is a cute town with a lovely piazza area near the church, where there is a great evening scene at the bars/restaurants. It is really conveniently located to get to Victoria and to the harbour for ferries back to Malta, as well as it never being a long drive to any of the coastal areas on Gozo.

Kasia the owner is a little bowl of energy, always trying to make you feel good, always cleaning and offering new towels or change of sheets. I really enjoyed our talks as well. The room was clean and spacious, with tea, coffee, kettle, shower gel, bottles of water, a little fridge, tv, a bath and a balcony with chairs and table. Fantastic!
Qala is a very nice little town with some nice restaurants ( ta vestru, d bar, and the exceptional Mulino ) and little shops if you want to do some groceries.
The accommodation met my expectations, Everything was as described. The accommodation was very clean and in a quiet and safe location. The village of Qala was beautiful with nice streets and good restaurants. The host Elaine was very nice, helpful, and always prepared a very tasty breakfast for us. We felt at home here. I will definitely come back with my girlfriend. Thank you Elaine ;)
Outstanding guesthouse. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. George, the owner was extremely helpful and reacted promptly to all requests/questions. The village of Qala itself was very pleasant. We had dinner and breakfast at the D-Bar nearby. Food was very good and staff friendly.
I highly recommend !
Loved all about the property, room exactly as the pictures, pool small but enough for a quick dip, the staff is extremely friendly, nice and welcoming, thanks for the great time. Also nice is the restaurant attached to the hotel, breakfast is delicious and the dinner is a must try.
The Hotel was just perfect and all that we needed for a quiet couple of nights. Family run which means such pride was taken in every detail. Malteses / Gozitan hospitality at its best. We will be back next year!
