We had a spontaneous trip to the Maldives and booked a hotel on Gulhi Island just two days before our departure. Our first choice was Ayala, but we could only secure a booking for our last night on the island. For the first two nights, we stayed at another hotel. Upon arrival on the island, we encountered a lack of assistance from our originally booked hotel. Looking for help, we walked into Ayala—even though our stay wasn’t until two days later—and were warmly welcomed by the front desk team. We met their GM Bong who is very friendly and welcoming. Even before our actual stay at the hotel, Bong eagerly assisted us and went above and beyond—since they don’t have a “resort tour” scheduled for the following day (he personally contacted a travel agency on our behalf and even walked us to their office to ensure we got the information we needed. The customer service at Ayala is truly outstanding, making them stand out from other properties on the island. The hotel has everything you could need—a lovely and spotless restaurant serving delicious and affordable food and drinks. They have a good selection for breakfast, they have ala cart menu and also serve buffet dinner at a very affordable price. Nicole and the rest of the service crew were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Our room was cleaned twice a day—once in the morning and again at night—something we didn’t experience at the other hotel we stayed in, where the room wasn’t cleaned at all during our stay. Additionally, Ayala provided complimentary sunbeds and umbrella when we went to the beach, which would have otherwise costs $15 per day if rented from the beach. They also lent us snorkeling gears and other swimming equipment for free, which was a great add-on. The hotel itself is impeccably clean and well-equipped, offering conveniences such as a kettle, coffee and tea, a mini fridge, a safe, toiletries, and affordable snacks and drinks.

I really appreciated that Jalil met me at the boat and went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable throughout my 3 day stay in Gulhi. The room was spacious and very clean, and the Maldivian breakfast was delicious.

Everything was perfect. The location, staff, rooms, view. It was a really an amazing experience at AIMI beach hotel. Thank you for making our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Great location at a low cost. Clean rooms. Dark and quiet. Perfect for an airport stay.

Close location to the marina, restaurants and the beach (which is amazing). The hotel is simple but comfortable.

Stayed at Premier Beach for 2 days from 28-30 March 2025. The property is really good, they only have 4 villa type rooms by the lush garden, so it wasn’t crowded at all. The Staff and the owner were all friendly.

Overall we had a very good stay. The accommodation is right on the beach, close to everything on the island, as Gulhi is very small. The rooms were comfortable and the staff was very friendly and keen to help with everything. The breakfast, room service and complimentary water are a big plus.
