Situated in Thulusdhoo, 200 metres from Bikini Beach, Wave Crest Retreat features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

The room was very brightly lit with blue neon lights and had a nice vibe, it was clean and spacious. Value for money because the location is closer to the south beach on the island.

Surf Trip Maldives is located on the beachfront in Thulusdhoo, 200 metres from Bikini Beach and 2.8 km from Gasfinolhu Beach.

The staff were amazing and the all inclusive food and boat trip was perfect. Food was also fantastic. Our room was pretty run down but ok. Toilet didn’t work and toilet seat was off. And the sulphur smell of bore water but I do believe that may be all over the island. But staff were attentive and very very helpful and made the poorer facilities pretty much unnoticeable once you got used to it, so it was overall a great experience.

Great and friendly staff, always helped out when we needed. Good food and other guests were also very welcoming. Beach is very pretty and clean, can see small fish within 5 minutes of walk. Nearby there's a pier from where we saw sharks, turtles and stingrays. Snorkeling was also an amazing experience.

Located in Thulusdhoo, a few steps from Bikini Beach, Reef Edge Thulusdhoo, Maldives offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and barbecue facilities.

Great staff; great location; great view from room terrace. We really enjoyed the excursions which were offered from the hotel, very helpful reception and staff. You can get beach towels from hotel, and buggy tour around the island for free. They will also pick you up&drop by the speedboat on arrival/departure for free. Overall facilities were okay, very good for the price. We walked around the island a lot and saw many other guest houses, those looked very sad. So Reef EDGE is definetly one of the top 3 mini hotels on this island :) We havent had breakfast as it was not really our menu, and its fine.

    The beach is beautiful.

The beach is beautiful. I´m afraid it would be too crowded in a couple of years as the contruction of new buildings on the island is massive. Would be nice to remove the hakenkreuz that is sprayed on the wall in the harbor. Not a nice welcome sign for tourists.

I would recommend Thulusdhoo as a holiday destination for a beach holiday for a few days only. It's going to get boring quickly. But as a diving destination and as an introduction to the Maldives, Thulusdhoo has my absolute recommendation. There are numerous hotels and restaurants on the island. You really have plenty of choice. You should take enough US dollars with you as a means of payment. Euros are also fine. Credit cards are only accepted to a limited extent. The inhabitants of the island are very friendly.

Thulusdhoo is a fantastic local island, we stayed 16 nights and loved the choice of places to eat and things to do, although we were planning on mainly spending time relaxing on the beach and in the water.

This island is perfect if you are looking for a genuine Maldivian experience. It offers perfect tropical beaches, insane turquoise waters, and great surfing for those who surf. My ten year old and I used a stand up paddle board to explore while my husband surfed and in the evenings we would walk the charming sandy "roads" of the village and try out the incredible local restaurants. Utterly safe and peaceful, we loved exploring. Our guest house, Iru, was a dream! We went on the snorkeling excursions which were outstanding and a Must Do! Like snorkeling in an aquarium!!! The locals were friendly and welcoming and it was lovely to be on holiday without the constant sales pitches so often experienced in other places. We will definitely be back to Thulusdhoo!

Its inhabitted island with 1500 local citizens.

Its inhabitted island with 1500 local citizens. Its 5km in circuit - I run it. its close to Male - 30min by speedboat - cost 25$/person. Had no isuse with local people, all nice ot at minimum neutral. Island has 2 bikini beaches, Dream Beach - the one close to sunset beach I enjoyed more. Water crystal clear, nice very gentle white sand. on island several restaurants - you can find the one used also by locals and few more turist popular. There is no reef but no issue to go for snorekling routes. There is couple of bigger buildings in process to be build up - suppose more hotels. Island is popular among surfers -but I do not surf so cant judge posibilities. Locals could care more about the surroundings, general cleanliness could be far much better. Same as lack of garbage bins and recycling of plastic bottles.

We were there for 5 nights and on one of the nights we went to a local resort and still we had a lot of time on the island There is a lot to do on the island though and I am sure if it wasn't so hot we would have explored some more A 3-night stay would be the ideal length or maximum 4

We spent 15 nights in this guesthouse. They were very flexible and always answered our needs. They made the room ready for us before check in time and let us stay longer on the last day (after check out time). They made an appointment in Coca Cola factory for us (highly recommended) and booked speedboat from & to Male. Room was comfortable, AC worked well. Breakfast were delicious, they always asked us about our preference and the time when we would like to have breakfast served. We recommend this place if you plan to visit Thulusdhoo!

Basic guesthouse, but well located next to the beach. Food was nice and generous portions. Only drawback, there are major construction projects around the hotel. So, if you are sensitive to sound, bear that in mind.
