We were so disappointed with this hotel because on our second day while we were away someone went into our rooms (we still don’t know who) and left the door completely open. We thought they went there to clean, but nothing was actually clean or organized. We reported it directly to the reception but nothing was done.
Also nobody came to talk to us about it and try to have a talk or offer something. They pretty much didn’t care. Never again

property and Front Desk were not welcoming and would argue and not let me speak and ask questions or information. They need some customer skills.

Very decent place in good location serving very good breakfast but in particular I loved the pillows. They were so comfortable alleviating any neck pain. I even asked if they could sell me one :) I’d rate them 9 if they did ;)

The property is very nice, clean, pool was huge and clean. The had a pool table, little store with all the basics. The rooms were very good.
The breakfast was included, the food was genuine Mexican buffet, with a lot of variety for everyone. The quesadillas were our favorite! Made on the spot.
The staff was kind and welcoming at all times.
The food at restaurant was amazing, and just steps to the beautiful beach.

This property was clean, attractive, and comfortable for one night stay before an early flight from the airport. A free shuttle was provided to the airport on the hour. The front desk staff were warm and friendly. There were a few minor inconveniences . For example, we only received one coffee pod. We offered to pay for a second one, but no more were available.
I would stay here again if I needed a hotel near the airport. Overall, it was a pleasant surprise.
The one real negative was related to the breakfast. When we arrived at breakfast, the host ran our credit card, but the credit card machine would not work. The person said to go and eat, and it would likely be working by the time we were done. After we ate, we attempted to run our credit card again and it still wouldn’t work. The host said it was an ongoing problem. It was time to leave for our flight, but he wanted us to go into the basement level to use an ATM to collect more money. But the ATM wasn’t working. We did not have enough cash on us to pay our bill. It was all very awkward and stressful, knowing we needed to leave for the airport, but we also needed to figure out a way to pay for a meal we had already eaten. Eventually, I went to the reception desk and asked to pay there and for the hotel to reimburse the restaurant. The restaurant didn’t want us to do that, but it was the only option.
The breakfast was delicious. It was about $17 a person. However, I would not eat it again, unless I knew that I could pay in cash..

I do not recommend, every time I was charged for parking when I left it, there is no refrigerator in the room, the air conditioner has no remote control and works like an airplane engine, there is no soundproofing and you can hear your neighbors coughing, all the noise from the street is also in your ears. I paid 100 US dollars and that was with a discount, it is not worth this money. I had this bad experience and I do not recommend it to you, find another hotel.

The flush took over 4 hours to refill then it is able to flush again, of i have to fill the water myself, but the bucket is broken. The house keeper didn’t clean the shower tub properly with previous renter’s tissue left . I stepped on it and feel disgusting. None of the restaurant or lounge is in service during my stay. The manner of the staff are good though. I pay what I get, but the previous issues are not except able.

So much to do in Cancun, I have to keep coming back to do all the stuff I wanted. Rent a car and drive all over, we of course visited Chichen-Itza, swam in cenotes, drove to Playa del Carmen and Tulum. Isla Mujeres is very beautiful and fun, where you can swim with sharks, ride jetski and so on! Next time other than enjoying the beaches, we want to visit Isla Holbox, Bacalar and Xcaret Park.

Cancun is the place if you look for fun parties, nice beaches, good restaurants and hotels. Special remarks to the night clubs, where you can have different experiences. You should only keep in mind that it is not as cheap as other parts of Mexico, as it is done for tourists. But in the end you will have a lot of things to do and enjoy there.

For me, it had become too touristy and prone to swindles. All the Maya sites I visited were overpriced. There were "re sellers" , people who hiked up the prices, who looked official but were not .In one place my credit card "didn't work", they demanded cash. When I walked away as I didn't have the cash, miraculously, a machine was found that would take my credit card.
It's a shame as the place is fascinating.! If possible, especially if you can speak the language, ask the locals for places THEY would recommend.

It's a bit like Vegas on the beach . . . if you're staying at a nice hotel and are there for a beach vacation, it's great. No need to rent a car, as Uber is available and inexpensive. There is an entertainment district, if you're looking for a show or night club. Lots of restaurants to sample. (I would avoid the big touristy ones, like Porfirios, unless you're more interested in ambience than great Mexican food.)

What a fantastic start to my first trip to Mexico. A real oasis in downtown Cancun, just a few minutes walk to the Parque de las Palapas, many restaurants, bars and R1 bus stop to beaches and hotel zone. Also just a 10 min walk to the ADO bus station. Monica, Eric and Alberto were absolutely lovely hosts. The breakfast was also a highlight … freshly prepared and served in the delightful poolside garden area. I will recommend to friends and family without hesitation!
Perfect stay when you have an early flight out of Cancun airport. The City Express hotel is located close to the Cancun airport, in more of an industrial area so not many restaurants etc. nearby. The hotel is basic but perfect for a one night stay and includes breakfast (left too early to try) a shuttle ride to the airport, and a decent sized swimming pool. Bonus points to the front desk staff who were very lovely.
If you have an afternoon arrival at the airport and are traveling Yucatán this hotel is a great venue to stay overnight and start your holiday the next day rested and ready. Good beds, friendly staff, safe parking area and just outside of Cancun but only 6km from the airport. you don’t hear the airplanes at all by the way.
We arrived late into Cancun so this hotel was excellent for us. Free airport pick up, lovely hotel, large room & excellent value. Really good breakfast too included so we would definitely recommend it.
