Very clean, super friendly staff, I loved having the dogs around, it was close to the center, and I loved that there were windows on both sides of the room, it makes it more cozy and the view was great! Would definitely recommend. I was just missing a place to relax at the hotel, like a restaurant or a terrace to order a drink for example, or a poolside.

The hotel is very quaint and rustic, but clean and well maintained. It was very "Mexican." It is only a block away from the Mission Walking Street, so it is very handy to that. It is also two blocks from the beach, Malecon. There is a terrific bakery located inside. Monnies! Great pastries. We stayed on the ground floor by choice. It was only 1 night and no elevator. The views from the upper rooms must be good though. They have a locked parking area which was appreciated. The breakfast is typical of most hotels. Toast, yogurt, granola, some sliced fruit, and good coffee.
Offering a restaurant, Hotel 1697 Loreto is located in Loreto. Each room here features a terrace overviewing Loreto’s main plaza, and include a TV, air conditioning and a terrace.

The location is fantastic; a half block from the Malecon and a block from the Mission Plaza. Lots of great walking, dining, shopping, and the mission, which is fascinating. Great location to explore Loreto on foot. The hotel is old school Baja funky and charming. The check-in was quick and easy. The bed is comfortable and once the wifi got straightened out, plenty fast.

We stayed in a poolside Casita and it was absolutely fantastic! There are two pools here with the larger pool being in a different area. I found the larger pool to be more in the sun and warmer and spent more time in the larger pool than the one by our casita. The staff was there to greet us and check us in immediately. The other travelers that were there were friendly and kind. I cannot recommend this place enough.

The location couldn’t be more central and Benny was so great. The cabaña itself was bigger than I anticipated and beautifully decorated. It even featured a hot plate and some cookware.

Loreto is a very comfortable and small town with good restaurants. I favorites were Claudia's, Orlandos, and Mi Loreto. When in Loreto, be sure to visit the Mission San Javier and also take a trip out to Isla Coronado.

This was our fourth trip over a 12 year period to Loreto.
This was our fourth trip over a 12 year period to Loreto. Good food is easy to find, but good authentic food Super Burro,
Caesars and Cafe Ole are getting scarce. Food seems like it has been tamed down. Loreto is a safe family destination.

Loreto is a very pretty, tourist friendly town.
Loreto is a very pretty, tourist friendly town. Streets are easy to walk and safe. There are many shops, restaurants and hotels in a close area and walking the Malecon is beautiful. It is a great place to start an excursion on the water or in the mountains.
This is my third visit to Loreto and I would readily visit again.
There isn't really anything I don't like about it.

This hotel is a lively place to stay.
This hotel is a lively place to stay. The courtyard with the pool is beautiful, quiet and relaxing. The staff is very nice. The room was nice- basic and clean. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. We went to Orlando’s. The fish was delicious. There is even a little convenience store next door. Lots of coffee shops- even one next door. We felt comfortable walking the dog in the neighborhood.

We went a few days before a multi-day kayaking trip and one night afterwards. Loreto is a nice, quiet little town with opportunities for whale watching (saw a few but Late Jan too early overall), dolphins. Sports fishing big here. Can scuba or snorkel but it was way too cold 3rd week in Jan. Coronado Island boat trip saw a few whales, seals, birds, turkey vultures, nice beach. Day trips - San Javier mission could be combined with goat cheese/burro riding excursion. Tabor Canyon hike -wear hiking shoes (not tennies) and be prepared to tackle BIG boulders (I stopped after first rope segment). Nice view hike near Puerto Escondido was easy. Great restaurants: Los Mandiles de Santa Lucia (waterfront), Mi Loreto and Mezzaluna La Taberita (cash only)

The host, Maria Elena, is very friendly and eager to help you have a good stay - despite the fact we don't speak Spanish, we were able to communicate our questions and requests via the Booking.com translator and she was always very prompt to respond. The location is very central for whatever you want to do in Loreto and the accommodation was spacious enough for two people for nine days and there is good security over the access to the properties. . Overall, I would say it is a pretty good choice for a stay in Loreto.
Perfect location on the main walking street in Loreto.
Super convenient and quiet at night with nice live music from the nearby restaurant in the evenings.
Very comfortable and clean, brand new apartment.
