Hated it. Not worth it's value at all. It's a craphole. Moldy, doesn't have A/C and it's really hot and humid inside the rolms. Dirty AF. Not like the pictures at all. Refused to refund.

My wife and I shared the room and almost daily we had to ask for a 2nd bath towel and a wash cloth. One day we had no shampoo or soap. The staff gladly obliged, but asking was unnecessary.

Orizaba is a very beautiful and historic town. It is worth to visit for a couple of days. My favourite location was the Paseo del Río, a beautiful walk along the river with zoo and many nice animals on both sides of the river.
The football museum und beer museum, both in the Palacio de Hierro are also must-sees.

Much to do for a small city.
Much to do for a small city. Flat CBD and many local people shopping and very family oriented. Many places to sit and people watch. The zoo is open air and unique. The Teleifirico takes you up the lower part of the volcano. Many churches to visit The Bicentennial Park is a quiet place to sit and enjoy the quiet. You can walk along the river and hear the rushing water.

A beautiful catholic and very, very conservative-oriented city. Highly guarded by police. If you can't stand animals being trapped in cages, you should skip this town and save yourself from witnessing animals, like lions and tigers, kept in extreme captivity. At the time of my visit, the city was housing an exhibition on human torture. There is very little respect for pedestrians so be super careful when crossing the streets. The town will give you the chance to make great pictures for your social networks. The natural surroundings are really beautiful. I was only able to stay 2 nights as a solo traveler due to the situations exposed above. I felt relieved when I left and will never come back. Overall, people are friendly I must say. Catholic families should feel at home in this city, no doubt.

A beautiful pueblo mágico at 4000 feet elevation.
A beautiful pueblo mágico at 4000 feet elevation. Picturesque, lots of things to see and do. The Gamma Hotel de France is comfortable, in a beautiful setting with mountain views surrounding the hotel with gorgeous rooftop views. The restaurant serves excellent food including room service. We stay here at least once a year in our travels cross country.

I highly recommend Hostal Casa Azúl. The staff is super friendly and they make you feel at home. It is located very near most of the places you must visit in the beautiful city of Orizaba. This place is very family oriented and has the option to use a private room. I say you should give it a try.
A modern, clean, comfortable hotel, close to a park and a five minutes walk to the centre of town, cable car and river walk. The staff were all friendly and efficient. If coming by bus, there are two stations which are reachable on foot. I extended my stay. Recommended.
