Breakfast was fine (Continental), honey too runny. OK location, walkable to Centro in 15 minutes, Calzado de los Frailes in 15 minutes. Not many other amenities around the hotel, however.

Just a few blocks off the main square, the Casa was a peaceful respite from crowds and noise but close to all of the action we needed…good restaurants, convenience stores and the front desk staff was very helpful and made some great recommendations about parking and places to eat.

The fact that the hotel was right in front of the main town square was key. All day Sunday there is a wonderful outdoor market in the square.
The hotel's restaurant has excellent food and drinks. There's a rooftop bar/restaurant with very good food called Don Diablo above the hotel: make a reservation. The octopus was one of the best I've ever had.
Get out early if you want to walk around town since it's so hot.

A very nice small city, that is well located to use as a base to see several old Mayan cities. It also has a good number of interesting sites in town.
It is easy to walk around and explore on your own.

It´s great to visit.
It´s great to visit. Easy to walk around the town, perfect to visit Chichen Itza and several Cenotes. My favorite thing was that I could reach a few Cenotes easily by bike! No need for taxis, at least for the closest ones.

Centro and Plaza areas are entertaining.
Centro and Plaza areas are entertaining. Casa de los Vedores in that area is a must see private museum, along with the Cathedral also at the Plaza. A 15 minute walk from the Plaza to the corner of Calles 41 and 52 starts the stroll down Calzado de los Frailes to Barrio Sisal- also worthwhile. If you can locate the small restaurant on Calle 37 near Calle 50 on the north side of the street (yellow/orange old and very unpretentious front), drop in for an all-natural meal cooked and served by the effervescent Rubén, who has run this restaurant for 55 years! Delicious, incredibly affordable, and all natural products.

If we do return to Valladolid we will look into planning other tour options from here since it's closer than going from Merida. I would also stay at another hotel - just to be closer to the center of town. Fundadores was somewhat close but need something closer.

From the outside it does not look like much but don’t let that fool you - once you walk through the door you are truly in an oasis! 6 room boutique hotel with a small swimming pool. Around 15 minutes walking to the main square.
The room was spacious, neat and clean with a lovely balcony. We really enjoyed our stay!
Breakfast was fruit, yoghurt, granola plus toast - probably less then we have received elsewhere in Mexico but it was sufficient
Beautiful boutique hotel. The rooms were super nice, very big and comfortable and very well decorated. The hotel itself felt like a little oasis to come back to each evening. The location was great, it took about 10-15 minutes to walk into the middle of town (past some great food options). Service was very good. Very good value compared to anywhere else we looked at potentially staying.
Lovely boutique hotel with new and clean facilities. Beautiful courtyard and small dipping pool with on site parking which was convenient. Easy to walk to main sites around Valladolid town. Great value for money, would gladly stay here again!
