Staff was lovely and friendly. Nice chalets with decent views. Slow tempo and easy going. Karla is awesome and friendly. The area could have lots to offer but the city is fairly local and the game drive area would be no more than two days at most.

Kuvira River Camp is a secluded gem! Set a kilometer off the main road, the property is private and quiet. The grounds are well kept, and the outdoor dining facility overlooks the river. My bungalow was clean and well furnished. A mosquito net was provided, but bugs were a non-issue on my October visit. The staff were super friendly and helpful; they prepared me an excellent dinner fitting my vegetarian needs. As a side note - and as an avid birdwatcher - I enjoyed the variety of birds I observed at Kuvira. Meyer’s Parrot, African Barred Owlet, Rock Pratincole, and Broad-billed Roller were highlights among the ~40 species I saw during my stay.

The staff is fantastic, seems genuinely happy to work here went well beyond the normal level of care. One of us was not feeling well and the manager on duty without hesitation led us by car to the nearby private doctor 10 minutes away.
That evening the staff also very kindly brought the meal to the room so the ill person could rest.
Beside the staff, the grounds are very beautiful, the restaurant has *excellent* food and the bar area is amazing.
We also did a boat trip which was very nice.

Location was awesome, right on the river. You could almost touch the hippos. There we’re constantly animals to view grazing across the river.
