We had a wonderful time at Finca Mystica. This is a very special place with the nicest people. Everyone was so kind and helpful in arranging excursions and transportation. The food was also excellent. Whether you want to do lots of activities or just chill out, Finca Mystica is the perfect peaceful base on Ometepe.

This is a working farm as others have mentioned. It is a little more remote which is part of its charm.
Our hosts were amazing and the food fresh and delicious. The bed was comfortable and we loved hearing the monkeys.if you go to this delightful Finca and see a kitten named manana give her a kiss for me!

Most comfortable bed in Nicaragua - maybe even the most comfortable after 1.5+ years of travel. Room is nice and clean. Bar drinks are reasonably priced. Staff is great.
Interesting and worthwhile to stay on this part of the island away from the tourist hordes and get a feel of what the island used to be like before mass tourism. Close to waterfall hike so you can start early and beat the heat.

Had a great stay at La Gloria. Calm place in a remote and extremely beautiful location surrounded by greenery just in front of the lake. Great spot for sunset. The food at the restaurant is very good too, highly recommend

We had a fantastic stay at El Bamboo. The cabin was better than we imagined - it had everything we needed, was well laid out and very comfortable. Our hosts Che and Indira were welcoming and their communication was great. The location is perfect for all the things to do on Ometepe. Also, it's near a very good restaurant (Cafe Campestre). The WiFi speed was excellent. If you are looking for an "experience", rather than just a place to stay, I would highly recommend El Bamboo!

Great adventure, amazing people, and great food at unbelievable prices in General Great Island. Wants to go swimming: 1- OjO de Agua, 2-La Cascada[have to walk] 3-La Punta.
Hungry well highly recoment " MIRADOR LOS VOLCANES "
Now Down side: be aware of overprice on the Ferry also have to call in advance to be sure about ferry schedules and what side of the Island you want to go.
Be prepare for Power Outrage [ take with you Battery pack/flashlight/power bank for cellphones ]
Also because is water everywhere mosquitos repellant and drink a lot of water/electrolytes.
