Beautiful elegant property with great attention to detail, situated in the countryside just outside Blenheim off the main road south. An old gracious villa, with a lovely garden and trees, a verandah to sit out and enjoy the ambiance, and interiors tastefully decorated with antique styles. Operates in the style of a lodge with public areas to enjoy. A very restful choice if you are happy to relax with a book rather than a TV, or want to range out each day exploring the surrounding wine district. Absolutely delicious breakfast with special homemade touches, served around the table in the elegant dining room. Room was very comfortable with a large bathroom and thoughtful additions. Our hostess Heidi was charming and helpful - one of those special people who exude warmth and caring hospitality. She has put a huge amount of thought and effort into creating this haven. An absolutely lovely stay, we were very sorry to leave.

Great small town. Lots of character with a range of restaurants. Crucially it sits at the heart of Marlborough wine growing region. We did a half day wine tour and loved. Friendly people only too happy to share Marlborough’s success story and a glass of wine or two.

Jade wine and food tour was great fun and we learned a lot about the wines. John was a great driver.
The town is very small and lots of places were closed Sunday night. The vineyards are the reason to visit and the beautiful views but this can be done in a day.

The intention was to catch up with college friends from MGC 1964 3rd form. We had a wonderful time reliving the past and catching up to date with the present with friends who had not left Blenheim.
Exploring memories and realising it was still HOME!
You can take the girl out of Blenheim but not Blenheim out of the girl!
We revisited where we formerly lived and loved it. The changes were enlightening. Most of us and our babies had been born at Holmdale.
We ate at bamboo garden and local cafes.

Lovely small town surrounded by beautiful countryside with multiple vineyards to enjoy. We only had one day which was woefully inadequate to do the area justice. Recommend wine tasting and lunch at Cloudy Bay and an evening of small plates and wine tasting at Astrolabes small town winery where the winemaker Simon and his family treated us like royalty. Really memorable day. Will hopefully return to both and sample many of the other vineyards in an extended stay next year. Stay at the 14th lane Urban Hotel in town if it is available.

Plenty of spots to visit - our schedule didn't allow winery visits (that'll be another trip) including Makana chocolate factory, river swimming, frisbee golf, and Dolce, The Fancy Cow and Moa Brewery. And cherry picking!

A cute town close to the wineries.
A cute town close to the wineries. We booked a tour with Gavin on Marlborough Wine tours which made our visit all the more better. Great wineries which are not far from town.
We ate at local restaurants which are plenty to choose from.
Next time, I would arrive in Auckland and make my way to Wellington and travel by boat to Picton. Picton is lovely and great to drive around this beautiful town. Reminds me of Vancouver Island, Canada. Driving to Blenheim was only 30 min and like i said it is closer to the wineries.

Continental breakfast was pre-ordered the night before, and individual breakfast trays were ready at your requested time. Clean and comfortable bedroom and bathroom.
Helpful, friendly and informative host Kim who was happy for guests to use the house kitchen, dining room, big lounge and outdoor area, as well as laundry facilities and use of bikes.
Great location outside of Blenheim but very close to the Wairau Valley vineyards (for driving or cycling around), and the excellent Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre (WWI and WWII aircraft).
My mum and I had a lovely stay at the Chateau. From start to finish, the staff were superb. Special mention for Erika, who checked us in so nicely and generally went the extra mile to make our experience at the hotel really enjoyable.
Our meals, breakfast and dinner, were delicious. The service from the restaurant staff was very good. We really liked the choice of food. The opportunity to dine in the hotel itself was great.
We will definitely be recommending the Chateau to our friends and family.
This was one of the best motels I've stayed in around the world. It was so comfortable, cozy and pretty. The managers/owners are so lovely and kind. I ended up staying again on my way back home. Highly recommended. Thank you so much for your kind hospitality, Roger and Judy!
Beautiful, peaceful location surrounded by vines.
lovely garden to enjoy birdsong and views to the mountains.
great location for exploring vineyards and Blenheim.
