It is a basic cute little cottage on a point overlooking the entry to Bluff harbour entrance. The view was amazing. Bed was comfortable, everything there that you needed to stay. Quiet and restful.

I was travelling for work for the week and this really gave the feeling of home, own space, washing machine and dryer, full kitchen, even had the odd bits and pieces like salt, pepper, hand towels, cooking oil, washing powder and detergent, perfect for wanting home cooked meals without having to buy all the things needed that you wont get to use fully while flying.
Situated in Invercargill, the recently renovated 1920's Comfort offers accommodation 2.3 km from Rugby Park Stadium and 2.8 km from Southern Institute of Technology.

Great location as it was central to everything. We went down for the Burt Monroe rally and Ollie's home was our home base which made life easy. Great host who doesn't annoy his guests but there if needed. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
Am SO glad we decided to stay in Bluff! We met the most wonderful, kind, generous authentic people ever!! We had the most fantastic two days here - was well worth coming and staying in the Foveaux Hotel with owners Mike and Pam was just fabulous - so authentic and gorgeous. We will be coming back to Bluff to see the wonderful people we met again!

The entire town needs a lick of paint.
The entire town needs a lick of paint. It truly felt like ‘Canery Row’. What was once a thriving fishing port is now a quiet, tired shanty town. Don’t expect anything to be open.
The walk up to Bluff Point was enjoyable and not difficult.
Even the famous‘Oyster Cove’ restaurant has changed hands and the menu has been simplified to only serve basic meals.

Bluff is the southern most point of Wai Te Pounamu the South Island. It's a gateway to Rakiura but it is really interesting and well worth exploring. Some great places to eat, try the Anchorage and the Titi (mutton bird)

Being on the water was brilliant!
Being on the water was brilliant! Went to sleep and woke up to crashing waves. Beautiful rocky paths along the water!
It was cold - bitter wind at night. Take a couple layers. Nice fireplace and view in the common area
No food!!!! There is a market in town and a takeaway place - both closed at 8:00. It is a pretty rustic, rural place. We ate at a quirky backpacker’s spot in town, called Stella’s Chinese Takeaway. Had a really good veggie burger and bag AF crispy crinkle fries. Ran Nextdoor to grocery while they were being made and then ate there. Portions wer large.;-)

My adult children wanted to see the southern end of NZ so we drove from Wanaka to the Bluff - stopped at the Golden Age/ Anchorage for a pint then on to Stirling Point then on to Bluff hill. It was a beautiful day - we saw Rakiura-Stewart Island and the views were amazing.. We were too tired to travel back so booked an airbnb for the night - Motupōhue Base Holiday Home - 2 beddy which fit all 6 of us. Off loaded our gear and went to Eagle Hotel, played some pool, played some pokies, ordered our takeaways and went back to airbnb, ate our kai and chilled!!!

The visit to Bluff exceed our expectations.
The visit to Bluff exceed our expectations. It is a very small industrial town, so didn't think there would be much to amuse us, but there were some lovely walks and sites, and the fish and chips shop was the BEST (the one next to the Foveaux Hotel), totally recommend it, even for those not always fond of fish and chips.
