Great place in regard to location room was clean and spacious. Parking was a nightmare due to large vehicle. Got told wrong information re public parking by staff and ended up with tickets! I wouldn’t use room service in regard to toasted sandwiches they were cold and not appealing also ordered apple pie which was also cold. $70 I thought very expensive for substandard food.

Fabulous location, stunning views, and good comfortable facilities. The bed and bed linen were fantastic. The room was well ventilated and the right room temperature easy to achieve. A charming air of faded 70s chic. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and polite. Sure it could do with an update but it would undoubtedly lose some of its nostalgic charm.

Dunedin is a beautiful city. We enjoyed the train ride to the Taieri Gorge train ride and Emersons Brewery while staying in Dunedin. The Museum was also excellent. We went on to visit Port Chalmers, Larnach Castle and the Bluff. All very interesting places. It was a good decision to hire a car to explore further than the city limits.

Such a cool spot to visit - plenty to see.
Such a cool spot to visit - plenty to see. We went as we booked tickets on the Taieri Gorge rail trip which was excellent value for money and thoroughly enjoyable. We also visited Larnach Castle, Port Chalmers, and lots of sites in the city. Our grandsons loved slogging up the world's steepest street with us and rolling lollies down from the top. Such fun. We could have spent a lot longer there.

We were excited to get to Dunedin but found it to be like a sleepy country town. We were there on a Tuesday night & were advised by the information centre that a lot of restaurants are closed on a Monday & Tuesday. We did have a lovely dinner at a nice restaurant so it didn't affect us but I thought that weird. Also ... 1 of NZs current biggest bands were formed in Dunedin so going to the house where they started, OMG! What a disgrace that street is! I'm from New Zealand & I was appalled that 1) that particular street & surrounding streets were so disgustingly dirty 2) the houses were actually wrecked! Who even owns these houses & why is something not being done? 3) If this is the way university students are allowed to behave, what sort of adults will they become? Just disgusting!
I would however recommend going to Baldwin St to walk up to the top! That was cool 😊

The room allocated was very comfortable and spacious. it was very bright with a nice outlook. The staff I encountered were all very helpful and friendly. The TV had a good selection of channels including movies and sports. The hotel is a 5/10 minute walk into the main shopping/ eating area of Dunedin and 10 /15 minute walk to the InterCity bus stop in the city. I would definitely recommend this hotel to travellers.
2 bedroom apartment - Excellent location, central to city and cafe (across the road). Free carpark!!!! Brilliant staff. Shower was the best water pressure I've ever had in a motel/hotel. Space for 4 of us.
