A very well furnished apartment that caters to the details. For example they have 2-way switch that makes all the difference in turning off the lights to the living room or the bedroom. Plenty of heaters are available to keep the rooms warm.
The kitchen is well supplied, the bathroom comes with hot air blower and even a washing machine cum dryer!
On the interior, it seems very new with modern design and decoration.
The view of the outside environment is quite stunning to say the least.
The owners are very hospitable and responded quickly to messages.
All in all a very pleasant experience.

This is a great base for hiking Aspiring National Park.
This is a great base for hiking Aspiring National Park. It is worth hunting out the less popular tracks such as Juday Track and Sugarloaf Pass as wellas the popular multi-day hikes: Greenstone, Caples, Routeburn and Rees- Dart, all of which are great but busy.

Glenorchy is out of this world. Stunning.
Glenorchy is out of this world. Stunning. The road trip there is overwhelming and there are so many fabulous hikes. The wee village has a great hotel with really nice food and vegetarian friendly, same with Mrs Woolly's General Store and good coffee.

Epic views and good walks to do.
Ate at Mr Glen's Taphouse - great coffee and cabinet food.
Recommend walk around boardwalk and lagoon.
Need a 4WD if going to Paradise - river crossings.

Beautiful surroundings, attentive staff, outstanding view of the mountains and lake Wakatipu. It’s a short 3 minute drive to Glenorchy town. You could walk but it is along a highway. If you get a chance, drive the extra 30 minutes to paradise and then another 20 minutes through the Ford’s and back country. JUST WOW
Easy booking and arrival, super clean and convenient to be able to stay in Glenorchy for an event. Very Old but an effort has been made on presentation in the room. Appreciate that they've stayed open during a very quiet time during Covid and the option to stay is still available.
Location was awesome nice historical site
Accommodation comfortable and clean
Restaurant a bit pricey but understandable as nearest town Glenorchy would be wise to take some of your own supplies
The apartment was spacious with a comfortable bed. Aurel was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend Glenorchy Retreat Apartment to others.
