Very comfortable Motel stay, clean, great location and short walk into town centre, friendly reception staff who had held onto a book for me that I'd had dropped off after leaving it accidentally at a previous location.

Cozy older style studio with a comfortable bed. 2 seater couch. Kitchen was well appointed with a cook top, microwave, crockery and cutlery. Went to sleep listening to the waves lapping on the beach. Away from the road. Right on the beach and not far from eateries and shops.
We really used Orewa as a base.
To travel around the area, over to Whangaparāoa and up to Matakana and Omaha.
The beachcomber was perfect for this.
It was all we needed with lovely bed and nice kitchenette and a nice big tv to watch the rugby on.
The bathroom was good with a good shower.
All we needed and wanted.

Orewa is a small coastal town with a big heart. There are loads of little shops and restaurants. The Sunday market was such a lovely surprise. There are also some of the best breakfast cafes.
Can walk and cycle along the Estuary onto the beach.

If you want to go to a place that makes you feel welcome, then it Orewa is that place. If you need to feel safe where there is a sence of community, where people are friendly and happy then its Orewa. It's a go to happy place for me when i need a break or a change, that feeds my body, tucks me in at night and gives me peace and calm. That charges my batteries, resets me and gets me back on the right path until the next time. It's also a spiritual place.

Beautiful seaside town.
Beautiful seaside town. Beach is stunning, excellent for children. Big parks, markets on weekends. Supermarket is close. Plenty of eating options close by from takeaways to fine dining. Shopping mall just up the road at Silverdale. Bush walks and much much more.

Orewa is easy to find and has excellent choice for food - the whole area is well laid out and in a wonderful setting of mature trees, parks, walkways, convenient access to beach and parking. The shops are interesting and locals friendly. Just feels like a peaceful easy place to be.

A friendly small town but packed full of different cafes and restaurants.
I know it can get very busy during the peak summer months but late summer seems to be a good time to visit. Busy but not crowded.

Our host was friedly and adviced us on the use of the washing machine and barbeque. Orewa and Red Beach are "beach resorts". Silverdale is just an Auckland suburb behind the beaches. For us the location was good, suitable distance from the North (Kerikeri, Waitangi, Russell) in our way to explore areas south from Auckland. The place is also close to shops including well stocked Woolworths for food.
I really liked how it was pretty much in the middle of Orewa where all of the stores were and it was literally a 5 minute walk to the beach! It also had access to extra curricular items in the cabins at the back which I thought was really cool and the whole house was very spacious and even the extra extra large TV! Felt like we were in the cinemas. Loved every part of it
Location is fantastic. A short walk into the centre of Orewa and only a minute to the beach. Hotel was quiet, check-in quick and keyless entry to room was a massive bonus! Sheets on the beds nice and soft. Good variety of TV services to use, including Netflix.
Honestly, best place we have stayed in , in New Zealand. Clean, comfortable beds, small but cozy. Swimming pool, which the kids loved. Secure parking, and all this in the glorious little town of Orewa.
