Tauranga itself is a pretty, vibrant city with many attractions. We didn’t have nearly long enough to explore all that we wanted to see and could have planned better for seeing everything. We had day trips to Hobbiton and Rotorua. We would have been better staying closer to them but still having more time in Tauranga. Definitely visit Mauao Historic Reserve. It's a beautiful city with so many hidden gems like McLaren Falls, glow worms and water activities. There are lots of Keebab Shops which offers Turkish Pizza and Keebab on rice. There are internal city bus service that makes it convenient to move around and avoid traffic. If you are not into fishing or going to the beach, and...
If you are not into fishing or going to the beach, and unable to do much walking, with the art gallery closed and a few shops closed on a Monday, not a lot to do. Mt Maunganui still a treat even with the weekend crowds. Plenty of options for eating out. Next time i plan to book some ebikes.Guest review byCarolNew Zealand

Rooms and corridors are very clean. All rooms are well equiped with laundry area and kitchen. Hotel is conveniently located next to the shops so it is easy to just walk to find a place to eat.
