We had a wonderful stay at Anantara Jabal Akhdar. The food was excellent — from the delicious breakfast to the evening buffet and the à la carte restaurant Al Qalaa, which we also really enjoyed. The quality and variety were both impressive.
Our room had a beautiful, peaceful view of the mountains, and I especially loved the yoga sessions, which you could book separately. The infinity pool offers stunning views, and the sports facilities, including the tennis court and gym, were great.
The spa was another highlight. The facilities (like sauna, steam room, etc.) were beautifully done and very relaxing. Just be aware that they’re separated for women and men, and you need to book a time slot to access them. On the plus side, that means it feels very private and you often have the facilities almost to yourself — but you can’t use them together with your partner.
Situated in Al ‘Aqar, Hanging Terraces المدرجات المعلقة features accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning and access to a garden.

Those old inhabited houses have been very well renovated while keeping the authentic Omani touch. A stay in this place gives you the opportunity to explore the nearby rose gardens and experience the life of the Jabal Al Akhdar inhabitants. Diner and breakfast are really good with a high variety of choice.

Well worth the drive. Not for the faint hearted in places!
Well worth the drive. Not for the faint hearted in places! 4WD required. Police checkpoint at base to check vehicles are roadworthy. It’s a very steep climb & decent. .
Off road drives are challenging but the scenery is stunning. Bring snacks/water.
Walking shoes.
The Historical Al Sukar village is amazing. Challenging drive but worth it. A 500m walk down the trail to the lodges & cafe. And a tough climb back up same so bring water!

It is a nice & cozy property, budget friendly as other options get into the luxury segment & hence are expensive, the views are excellent, rooms are decent(value for money) and food is tasty just that choices are limited, but there are other (food)options nearby the property that are available. Overall if you don't wanna spend on luxury this is a good option as it provides stunning views with decently comfortable rooms.

We stayed for one night.
We stayed for one night. On day of arrival we visited wadi al habib. It was 20 mins drive from the hotel . It’s a hike of about 90 mins to an abandoned village across the village. Liked it . Next day we went for a trek early morning to see step farming and a nearby village. It took around 2 hours and was good .
