We stayed for one night and it was okay—just what you'd expect from a semi-hut by the beach. The atmosphere was laid-back, and the location offered a nice seaside feel. They had good signal, which was a plus, and they also serve food, which adds to the convenience. A decent spot for a quick beachside stay.

The staff was super friendly and always helpful. From asking to hang our wet towels somewhere to dry to assistance in ordering Pizza, they made it happen. The room was cozy and rather new, with comfy beds. In terms of location, my tip for everyone wanting to arrive by bus: Buy a ticket to “Badian” (pronounced Badjan) instead of Moalboal (its very cheap from the South Bus Terminal in Cebu City btw.). Then have the bus drop you off at Poblacion, which is the main “square” where there is a market and the mini buses start throughout the day for various destinations. The Hotel is actually a village further south than Moalboal. It is far less touristy there, which was great and even a bit closer to the south and just 15-20 mins from Moalboal. There is one motor scooter rental place on the parallel street to the hotel where we rented a brand new scooter too, to discover the surroundings.

We extended because the place was beautiful. Cool design and nice grounds. We like the location closer to Badian than Moalboal so it suited us perfectly 👌🏼

The place is so clean especially the rooms. The beds are so comfy. The bathrooms are spotless. The owners and staffs are so friendly and chatty. Last Good Friday after a short visit to Osmeña Peak, when we got back to the resort, I simply asked if they have benignit (a delicacy that Cebuanos/Bisayas normally prepared on Good Fridays), I was told they haven't. But while drinking coffee, to my amazement, I was approached by their staff that their lady boss, quickly prepared the benignit ❤️. And not just that, it was even for free. I would highly recommend this place to everybody. Not only is the place very clean, with friendly owner and staffs, but there's a wide variety of sumptuous food you can choose from their menu. The view is magnificent and very relaxing. The pool is of decent size but with clean water. The ground is well maintained. You can either play badminton and volleyball. There are other indoor games available at the restobar at a very affordable price. Indeed we had a very delightful stay at Seaview Moonrise Cafe. I give it 5 stars
Situated in Badian, Cuestas Beach Resort and Restaurant features a private beach area, not sandbar. We have an amazing coral reefs around 130 mtrs. from shoreline.

Everthing...the staff, location, how immaculate it is, the landscaping
Better to stay in a hotel from Moalboal. In Alegria you cant rent a scooter and moving in taxi is extremely expensive. Beach in Alegria is rocky and not possible to swim. We stayed in this area because of the falls which are amazing but then at night there was nothing around. Moalboal has bars and places to go at night and better beach. It is not far from the falls so it does not make a difference on that sense. Kawasan falls the best! But if you can visit Binalayan and Aguinid falls (loved them) By scooter from Alegria was 40 mins… from Moalboal would be an hour maybe 1:10. Cosina organica in Alegria was a great restaurant. For breakfast Cafe de Metoli was good enough and only one to open soon in the morning.

I did not like the travelling time due to the traffic.
I did not like the travelling time due to the traffic. It took us 6 hours to reach the property from the airport. I did not like the water pressure - it was almost nothing making it so difficult to take a shower. I did not like that wifi was not provided upon arrival and throughout our stay and lastly the beach was not a sandy beach, it was all just stones.
I liked the view, the cleanliness of the room, and the dogs around the area. Also, I enjoyed the peace and quiet. Be sure to eat at Lucci's and Le Bistrot - they serve up some really awesome food. We wanted to visit kawasan falls but could not - apparently the place was destroyed by a hurricane. While I was planning my trip with Alegria and I mentioned I'd like a visit to kawasan falls, he/she did not mention this and learned of it from the canyoneering guys. I am grateful however for the friendly locals - they are all very welcoming. Being nice and kind takes you a long way at beautiful Cebu.
