I don’t like the housekeeping service it took me 4 times follow up to ask for a towel. The front receptionist are not very attentive and friendly. The floor almost everywhere are always wet even the elevators. Accident prone to everyone. I

close to airport bu it ends there
close to airport bu it ends there
traffic is hell can be over an hour just to get off the island
taxi rates are higher than Cebu City and many do not turn on meter anyway
If there is shopping or restaurants we never fond them
However, the local Filipino street activity was great. Good street food and shops

Lovely area off the hustle and bustle of Cebu city.
Lovely area off the hustle and bustle of Cebu city.
Still good restaurants and transport links to city.
Good for a quiet stay.
No convenient public transport from hotel to Airport is always a pain.

Spend extra money staying in nice resorts or hotel.
Spend extra money staying in nice resorts or hotel. If you can speak directly to hotel customers service to find out exactly the location description and what they offer. Sometimes what you read in their descriptions isn’t exactly what you will get. I think there’s a saying “you get what you paid for.”

I did not get to explore much of Mactan as we went on a trip to Bohol for a couple of days. When we returned, it was time to leave the next day. We were using ‘Grab’ and ‘Taxi’ for transport. I suggest to get the driver to turn their meter on as some of them don’t, especially when they noticed that you are from abroad. They charge you a flat fee which can be more expensive than the metered travel. I still have to explore Mactan, so don’t where the best eating places are.

Mactan is where the international airport is so it is very convenient to stay in Mactan and launch your travels and tours of the Cebu attractions from there. If you prefer to stay close to where the parties are and on the beaches, then you would have to stay in Cebu. Mactan itself offers a good variety of restaurants, local and foreign, especially Korean and quiet accommodations with great views of he sea.. There are many Korean Spas and restaurants. For entertainment there are a few clubs with live music and the friendliest girls you will ever meet.

Clean, comfortable, good air conditioner inside, fridge. Very friendly staff. There are a lot of opportunities nearby to go everywhere by bus, jeepney, tricycle. There is small shop, ATM next to hotel. In 10-15 minutes of walking passing by J Park Island Resort you can find laundry, Seven Eleven, SM supermarket, McDonald's, pharmacy. I recommend
The room was clean and spacious, but the hotel itself looked run down, quite dark and dodgy. It's very close to the airport but the neighbourhood looks suspicious so you need to take taxi to get there anyway. Very cheap, so good for one night stay in Cebu and go to the nicer places in the island.
