If you’re obsessed with Hollywood stars, then by all means, this is the hotel for you. Personally, I found the overwhelming theme of actors, movie sets, and film references plastered across the entrance, elevators, and even the beds a bit too much—borderline invasive. And above all, undeniably kitsch.

Built on seven hills facing the Tagus River, charming Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in the world. It showcases unique tram rides, intimate Fado performances, great dining venues and much more.
The city is famous for its districts: Belem's famous monuments; Alfama's labyrinth of streets, bars and small shops; and trendy Alcantara's docks. Lisbon’s most popular nightlife and shopping venues are in Bairro Alto, while the traditional heart of the city beats rhythmically in Baixa.
Enjoy a walk through Jardim Botanico, admire the architecture of the Jeronimos Monastery or explore the Feira da Ladra flea market. The Chiado area serves the city's best traditional Portuguese cuisine. No meal is complete without the famous pasteis de nata!
Getting to the city center is only a metro or bus ride from Lisbon Portela Airport. Whether you want a luxury hotel, a friendly guesthouse or a cozy apartment, Booking.com has plenty of accommodations for your vacation in Lisbon.
There is much to see in Lisbon and much to do. For Americans, used to wide streets and relatively smooth flowing traffic, Lisbon is a challenge. If you are in the old city, the streets are so narrow and so filled with cars at times during the day that traffic comes to a standstill. So you need to determine where you are, where you want to go, and what is the likely path to get there. Travel during peak traffic hours will definitely be a long time spent in a car. We used Uber often to get around, but I could sense the frustration of the drivers when we took six or more traffic light changes to get through an intersection. Just a warning...

Very friendly and welcoming place, lovely people, ready to help.
Lots of placed to eat, vegetarian and vegan friendly. We found a vegan restaurant with excellent food.
We did a lot of walking, because we like exploring on foot, but there are plenty of other ways of getting about - tuk tuks, trams, busses.
I unreservedly recommend visiting Lisbon!

Interesting, picturesque, colorful, lively, lots to see and to do. I liked the Alfama and Baixa-Chiado neighborhoods, the stepped streets, the funicular ride and the famous tram 28. It was indeed the weekend, but nowhere in the world have I seen confectioneries, gelaterias, restaurants and even a beautiful bookstore (from the 18th century and functional) open at almost 11 p.m. and with many customers at that hour!
I saw very elegant confectioneries with very good cakes.
And the locals are very friendly and most of them speak English.
Just two days (not the whole day) were not enough. I will definitely come back!

Lisbon is the most wonderful city.
Lisbon is the most wonderful city. There is so much to see and do and the people are lovely. From the moment we got in the taxi and the lovely taxi driver was giving us recommendations of where to visit. A must is the old town of Alfama. I would recommend walking up the (steepish) hill to the castle and taking in the atmosphere. Public transport is so cheap and easy to use. Buy a viaviagem card from a metro station. We put 15 euros on and it lasted the whole 4 days we were there. The Time out market is great for foodies and I really recommend the LX Factory and a trip to the beach. Such an easy 30 minute journey to the beach. Really lovely city.

It is so easy to get from Lisbon Oriente Train Station to the Red Metro line to the Lisbon Airport and then walk to the hotel. I had one large rolling suitcase. The short walk (200 meters) was across a main road, but there are crosswalks and, the best part, it is all downhill to the hotel! I chose the location because I had an early flight and the metro doesn't open until 6am, so I needed to be close to the airport and not deal with traffic problems, etc.
Man, the receptionists are angels. I have never stayed in a hostel with staff worthing of a 5 star hotel. So helpful and always smiling.
The hostel itself is really aesthetic and has a great rooftop view.
Bunk beds offer great privacy. The rooms smell so good.
You can drink free tea and coffee all the time. Everything was very clean and welcoming.
If I ever come back to Lisbon, I am for sure coming back.
One of the best stays I have had for a 5 stars hotel!
The hotel offers basically everything you need: rich breakfast, great facilities, quite and elegant rooms, quality cleaning service, good location, and really good restaurant within for luxurious dinner. Above all, the service in this hotel was exceptionally good. Maybe the best I have seen.
Considering the price we paid, I highly recommend it!
One of the best neighbourhoods in Lisbon. Well connected with airport and city centre. We got a free room upgrade which was pleasant surprise. Overall great stay!
