Estremoz is beautiful - castle, Museu Berardo, "bonecos de Estremoz", Teatro Bernadim Ribeiro (!), great restaurants! The castle of Evoramonte is well worth seeing, as well as Elvas (lots to see there - the castle and several beautiful, old churches). Forte da Graça is an absolute must-see! Vimiero appeared to be very quiet town which will be sure to catch a locals eyes if passing through. There are a few small markets to purchase essentials, but come prepared if staying for a while.
