Koror – 35 hotels and places to stay

Palau Central Hotel is located in Koror. Featuring room service, this property also provides guests with a year-round outdoor pool.

This hotel was amazing. We stayed here for four nights and did not want to leave. We have a mountain view room which had the most incredible view (we did see the other rooms and the view is not as nice - onto main roads) and the bed was a comfortable cloud! Breakfast was also great, with tons of variety and eggs made to order. The pool and view from the rooftop is incredible and we loved coming back to recharge after long days out exploring. The staff are so kind and went above and beyond. We didn't want to leave.

West Plaza Downtown features free WiFi throughout the property and views of city in Koror. There is free private parking and the property provides paid airport shuttle service.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is central and within the city centre. The entrance is not appealing and not the ambiance of a hotel. The room was a good size but somewhat dated. The reception arranged a snorkelling trip with Impac Tours to Rock Islands, including Jellyfish Lake, Shark city, Natural Arch and Milkyway which was fantastic. Large shopping centre, restaurants and cafés within walking distance. Good gift shop with traditional storyboards at Belau Museum. The West Plaza group has another hotel across the road at Lebuu Street which seems much newer.

Palau is a great destination if you enjoy diving or snorkelling, or just being out on the water enjoying the wonderful Rock Islands, or simply want to relax in a tropical environment, but it is not necessarily for everyone. Those looking for nightime entertainment or lots of places to visit might be disappointed. Koror itself offers a quite wide variety of accommodation, is quite easy to get around and has a good range of places to eat. Elilai Seaside, Kramers and Tori Tori are good examples of places where you will get an excellent meal. The hotels also have their restaurants, with the Coconut Terrace at the Palau Pacific Resort another good example. Places can be quite spread out so unless you like long walks, you will need transport. There is not a great deal to do in Koror itself but it is very neat and clean and getting around is pretty easy. If you don't rent a car, quite a few taxis are available and although not cheap, pretty reliable. Hotels will call them for you, and the drivers themselves will give you their cards so if you find one you like, you can call them for future trips. We were staying at PPR and it was typically US$10 for a one way trip to town.

Palau is a beatiful place but not special.

Palau is a beatiful place but not special. This is a tipical tropical island, clean and secure with beatiful landscapes and warm sea. But this is very expensive place, not for buget tourists. One day snorkeling costs more then 100 USD plus permit 50-100 USD (for one week). Accomodation is also expensive. No publlic transport. Corals and sea-life not so interesting as I expected. I don't know about diving, but snorkeling in Philippines and Indonesia is much better and less expensive.

If you snorkel or scuba dive, this is 100% for you!

If you snorkel or scuba dive, this is 100% for you! You can stay in Koror and walk to (most all) bars and cafes and restaurants and shops, etc... or you MUST have car rental, ZERO public transport (no Uber, taxis, buses, etc.)

Big, newly renovated room with comfortable bed. Due to the ongoing renovation works I was upgraded to a Deluxe room with gorgeous views of the sunset from the big balcony. The reception staff was very welcoming, friendly and efficient, they can also help with car rental, laundry, booking of tours and dinners, and organize transfers to and from the airport with the hotel bus (20 USD).

Staff is very professional and helpful, especially Nien Tai. We were at our tail end of our 5 months tour when we arrived at Koror and didn't plan anything ahead except were booked 3 nites at Parasia. Nien Tai in no time help us book a kayak and snokering tour, get us a rental car delivered to the hotel within 30mins. Very efficient!

The hotel is centraly located in Koror and the room was very big, actually a studio with equipped kitchenette. The owner and team were very helpful to book tours and taxi. A transfer to airport was included. Internet worked pretty well.
