We liked the spacious backyard with private pool. The location can be tricky to get there but the atmosphere around the place is quite peaceful and friendly. It felt us like "be in an old village ". The person who takes care of the place is very friendly and helpful too.

Norma and Blanca went above and beyond to be helpful about what to do in town or to meet any needs. A pleasure to meet them. Norma offers her house and garden (with pool) for guests in a prime area of Asunción. Breakfast is offered. Parking was also offered within the walled space around the back (with control for gate). Thanks and hope to return some day.

Especially liked the beauty and quietude of the garden area, the pool with the two huge palm trees above it, the cats, and the kindness and hospitality of the owner and staff. Don Gerardo apartments are located in barrio Madame Linch, which is a quiet, safe, and very residential neighborhood of Asunción. However, there is a S6 supermarket, some other shops and even restaurants, a burger bar etc. within walking distance! There is a bus stop within 100mts of the property, where you can jump on an authentic Paraguayan vehicle and commute to the historic centre (or you can always rely on Uber, it is a good and affordable alternative). I booked this accomodation about two weeks before arriving to the country. The reservation was possible without paying anything in advance (huge plus), and once you arrive - you'll have the option to pay either in US dollars or local currency.

The apartment was very comfortable and well laid out. There are plenty of sport facilities on the complex for adults and children alike to keep busy for hours. It's also very secure as it is guarded by security 24/7. There is also a small shop where you can buy most of the basics.
