The location was perfect, as it was the end of winter season, not many people anywhere, lovely March weather with super skiing. Breakfast very good, everything you might imagine, maybe please add some more gluten-free bakery choice. The swimming pool after the ski was just perfect relax. Many restaurants in the cute village, easy to find place for 6 people .

Hotel Lipa, ideally located in the very centre of Kranjska Gora in the centre of the Upper Sava Valley, is a small family-run hotel. Free garage parking for motorbikes is provided.

The hotel was quiet, and very comfortable indeed. The staff were exceptionally helpful and kind, and went out of their way to give us a very memorable stay in a new country.

Great location, very comfortable room. We only stayed for one night so we didn't get a chance to take advantage of everything the hotel offered. But we still had free access to swimming pools on our check out day.

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Hotel Vandot is located in Kranjska Gora, 500 metres from the ski slopes and 100 metres from the town centre.

The breakfast is fresh and yummy. Room is cofortable and clean top notch. Locaton is perfect, and the staff is nice, and friendly and super helpful. Thank you Maya and the young lady as well :)

Amazing location and surrounding! Hotel itself is so tastefully designed, quiet and exceptionally clean. Food is beyond words.. Both breakfast and dinner. Staff is amazing, so friendly and easy to speak with. We really had an easy going vacation in a perfect place.

    The local scenery is beautiful.

    The local scenery is beautiful. The cafe' on the lake is worth a visit. Otherwise, this is a very small ski town with limited infrastructure and dining options. Two nights is sufficient. We were there in winter and there is not much to do if you don't ski.

    Great place for winter if you want to have a little of...

    Great place for winter if you want to have a little of skiing (especially if you are a beginner or first time skier because all main slopes are very easy and beginner friendly and situated close to the place) and a little of mountain/alpine experience (either with wellness/spa experience or with apres ski/events experience)

    We went for the skiing.

    We went for the skiing. We are beginners and we find Kranjska Gora the best fit for us. We had some conditions when we chose our place to stay: that it was in the city so we can go for drinks after skiing and have more places to chose from for dinner and lunch, to have accomodation close to the slopes so we don't have to go by car, to have convenient ski rental shop (which you have directly on the slopes or on the main street) and to be beginner friendly. Kranjska Gora offers it all for skiing and taking a walk, multiple restaurants and caffe bars, shops, etc.

    Kranjska Gora was and will be a cozy place for family...

    Kranjska Gora was and will be a cozy place for family holidays to stay during winter. It has many different attractions for the whole family and many good places for lunch and dinner. Nature is impressive: a good relaxing walk near Lake Jasna and a lot of fun on the ski slopes. It is always good to see the ski center in Planica, the frozen village in Mojstrana, etc.

    The Alps without hordes of tourists and over-consumption! Kranjska Gora has wonderful hiking and matchless scenery. We were there in the winter and loved it -- even though we don't ski, which is the big draw for Slovenian and Italian families. It's an easy drive from Ljubljana. Slovenia seems not to have been discovered by a lot of tourists yet, which makes it a real pleasure to visit -- like Europe before cruise ships and tourist buses.

    From Kranjska Gora we toured Tolmin and the Tolmin Valley,...

    From Kranjska Gora we toured Tolmin and the Tolmin Valley, the Soča River. We visited Kobarid, the Kozjak Waterfall, which is a beautiful creation of nature. We also saw the Bohinj Lake and climbed to the Savica Waterfall. From there we went to Kranjska Gora and went sledding in the evening. Kranjska Gora is beautiful in winter. It is decorated with hanging yellow lights on the houses and the atmosphere is wonderful. One day we visited the source of the Sava River (Zelenci) and the Planica Nordic Park where we sledded and from there we went hiking to the Tamar mountain lodge. The route takes about an hour (a little longer with children). If there is snow, bring a sled because the return is fun. The next day we went to Italy. We visited Lago di Fusine - a lake that is frozen in winter so we actually walked across it. After that - we headed to Travisio which is only 20 minutes away where we boarded the gondola to Monte Lussari - a small village on top of the mountain which is beautiful! The ticket to Monte Lussari is about 18 euros and it is really worth it. From Kranjska Gora we also visited the frozen kingdom of Mojstrana (20 minutes) - where a park for sightseeing has been made of ice - that is interesting for kids. Jasna lake is also frozen in winter so we walked around the lake there too. Slovenia is beautiful, it has many waterfalls and mountains to hike. I highly reccomend!

    Nestled in the quiet and picturesque resort just 5 minutes away from Kranjska Gora and the Italian border, this mountain wooden hotel offers a peaceful retreat in the heart of the Slovenian Alps. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were freshly prepared and served in a beautiful way. There’re a few parking spots right in front of the hotel. Definitely a great choice if you want to avoid the crowded Kranjska town venues.
