It was the more traditional up market hotel and as it was a casino it was there for gamblers. I was hiking and it happens to be on Alpe Adria trail route. So it was very clean and comfortable but little atmosphere

Hotel booked due to having its own restaurant and its proximity to the station. We knew it was slightly out of town. However we didn't expect to find the hotel shut due to vacation. We were let in, after a phone call. Noone else (staff included ) was in the hotel all night. The exterior door was kept unlocked so we could go in and out. There was no food available. Our only option was to go into town during a rain storm.! We were not informed of this prior to our stay. The fact that Booking.com thinks this is acceptable means we will never book through them again.

The nature was stunning, and the locals were amiable and calm. The local wine and olive oil were delicious. I suggest you try a Briška Hiša for dinner or late lunch. Just plan your trips ahead, and don't trust Google Maps, as it has led me through some very wrong turns.
