Mass transportation is good ( by shuttle train to Taipei or high speed train to Kaoshiung ) The street is very clean also a lot of shopping mall worth to pay a visit. The local food is amazing Better visit North Taiwan in Spring or Fall, it's freezing cold during my stay in Taoyuan it's windy and chill to the bone. not many places for travelers to see. **the worst & terrible experience i have when traveling in Taoyuan was... the day i visited the New Library (so called the Biggest Library in Taiwan), i went to the Lady's Restroom in the library building, before i sit down on the toilet, i was looking for tissue paper to place on the toilet seat, i found out there's no tissue paper inside the toilet room, so I came out and asked the cleaning lady, she said i shall get the tissue paper outside at the restroom entry area. THIS IS A TERRIBLE IDEA...what if people already pooped and have no tissue paper to wipe their butts? HELLO? who knows the tissue paper is provided outside the toilet room? with this little incident, i lower my rating on the library immediately. this is definitely NOT a nationwide standard. terrible!Guest review byAnonymous - Review score4.0

The staff was kind and helpful and the breakfast was adequate. The shower was a good one, but there was no way to drain the sink except to dig out the drain cover. The location was not convenient and there was no place at the hotel or close by to get food after breakfast. For free and easy travelers, it would be advisable to check the buses timetable if you are heading to places like Daxi old street. We took a taxi from Taoyuan city to Daxi, it cost us NT500. We asked around with the residents at Daxi, and found that taking bus was much cheaper that cost us only NT37 per pax or NT64 for 2 pax. Even from city hotel to Taoyuan HSR, by bus only NT44 per pax instead of taxi estimated another NT500. One thing I liked in Taiwan, you can keep your travel bag or luggage in a locker situated in most train stations or nearby. it costs only NT30 to NT50 for 3 hours.Guest review byOngSingapore - Review score8.0
