Convenient to free access but be ready to sit in 35 . Obviously not motels fault but definitely change your maps preferences for other routes. Rooms are clean and large.
Not sure why but my room felt like I was in torture chamber due to some very loud water and whirling noise . I believe from the AC but was constant and no way to sleep.
Housekeeping comes daily. Shower was good and hot with good water pressure. Check in was easy and convenient.

I think you get what you paid but this is the most basic place I ever been. Beds are cheap, and rooms are probably 60% less space than any other hotel room in this country.
The rooms still have window AC, they don’t offer breakfast, and people at front desk make the whole check in process painful and long, they request an extra deposit fee.
Super sad hotel

Historic downtown Austin is the seat of Texas government, and the seat of fun and entertainment for locals and visitors. Austin is a beautiful city and I highly recommend it.
Austin is a beautiful city and I highly recommend it. Lots of great sights, fun restaurants and nightlife as well as friendly ppl and there is an abundance of things to do for every age group. I did find it a bit expensive but there are lots of great places to eat that are more affordable if you look around. A lot of ppl said you need a car in Austin but I thought it was very walkable and Ubers/Waymo (self driving cars) are everywhere and they are not too expensive. We were there in early March so the weather was great however we were warned many times about the heat later on in spring and summer.

Taxis are EXPENSIVE!
Taxis are EXPENSIVE!
Car rentals sounded reasonable BUT parking at hotel ridiculous rates upwards of $50.00 per DAY..KC your resorts policy...
Enjoyed the in town experience a block away from the Capitol..
Couple blocks away from downtown(6th street) night life
Good restaurants everywhere..
The Metro bus was fun to use for shopping..
24 hr pass was $2.50...
Nobody harassing on the street(daytime)
Don’t know about after hours..
I go to Austin every year..

I thoroughly enjoyed the Elephant Jazz Club.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Elephant Jazz Club. It was a relaxed atmosphere with a GREAT JAZZ BAND!!! The Downtown area was lively and bright. We used a Lyft to get around, the traffic was thick. There was a Seafood/Mexican restaurant close to our hotel called Mario's and the food was good. My husband and I totally enjoyed our time in Austin.

Austin is great with lots of AMAZING restaurants and fun activities. We very much enjoyed Sapori Italian Roots, Arriba Abajo, County Line (BBQ) for food. The capital was an awesome sight to see and tour. We enjoyed indoor mini golf at Holey Moley downtown. Instead of renting a car we enjoyed many nice Uber vehicles and mostly everything was in walking distance if you want to save money.

Hey if you’re in to bums and vagrants (I don’t call them homeless) and the human feces and smells that go with that, you’ll love it. I spent time in Austin as a kid (sister lived there) 1964, it sure was different/better back then. Very sad.

I have mixed feelings about this city.
I have mixed feelings about this city. I moved there in 1987..about 400,000 people at that time. The city council kept voting down infrastructure as un-needed, till it became needed. NOW 2+ million people live in the same area. Amazing. PEOPLE everywhere. There seems to be more cars than people now. What Austin used to be, is no longer there. Many good eateries went out of business with the plague. Music venues are still about, but $$$ If you are young, like 20's 30's ... You will love it. You could not blow that age group out of there with a canon....But, after you figure how much it costs to live there, you make less than $100k OR you have a young family, you will not love how far your money goes. And it Go's..and Go's.. tolls, food, rent or property tax. BUT you dont pay a state income tax OR tax on your groceries...Neat huh?? BUT the property tax or rent, will blind you..

When visiting the USA we like to stay in Historic Houses. We also had a great time at breakfast talking to other people staying at the property. Barb and the team were great fun. Hyde Park is an interesting area away from downtown Austin. Uber in to Austin is cheaper than parking and easier. Also visit Avenue b Grocery and market for excellent sandwiches. Easy walk to restaurants.
Great Price, very clean room, comfortable bed and pillows. Everything you need, no carpet in the room (love it)
A bit on the smaller side but absolutely efficient furniture, even a little seating area. Good location, close to the airport and a bus stop in front of the hotel to downtown. Starbucks, waffle house and some other eating options walkable distance. All in all great.
Good location for downtown - staff could not have been more helpful - Allan greeted us when we arrived and made us feel very well looked after. We stayed here the night before we were joining our family just outside Austin. It was ideal and also close to Austin visitor centre where we booked the “duck” tour from.
A modern, upscale, vibrant hotel, with some fun restaurants and bars, a great pool, very pleasant rooms and located near all the good places Austin has to offer. A stroll to Rainey Street, to 6th, to Red River st, and to the riverside. Just on the edge of downtown. I rarely give a 10, but this hotel deserves it.
The hotel has a good location near downtown and very close to the lake (although it is hard to reach if you have no car available). Free parking in the attached garage is a definite perk. Staff at the reception desk were very friendly and polite. The bed was comfortable.
