We liked that it was clean, nicer room than I expected. And it was a short walk to the venue we went to. We've had iffy experiences with Best Western so I was happy this wasn't one of those. Would stay again

The buzz in the foyer. The check-in staff. The laundry facilities. The gym. The size of the rooms and the sofa bed. The speed of the elevators.

The location is perfect, 2 min to the BART station, and 10 min walk to UCB campus. And after (recent?) rennovation, it is also super clean and cozy now (my last stay was back to 2018). Breakfast is not included, but everything can be easily ordered through ZINO. Not cheap but taste and service were great.

The room was big and clean, the free parking was convenient, not so far from downtown.
Price is correct. Breakfast was simple but good.

Perfect location, right by the cheeseboard and in north berkeley. The decor was cheerful and didn't have the sterile feel of the new high-rise hotel in Berkeley that I had previously stayed in. Good amenities: robe, hot chocolate and good quality tea, microwave. The room and bathroom were clean and more spacious than I expected, with a spacious balcony with chairs and a table. The bed was comfortable. There was a useable desk for working.
The staff was personable and helpful.

Just and FYI.
Just and FYI. If you stay in Berkeley, please beware there are no places to park out in town except on the street. It's almost guaranteed you will be driving around for a long time to find a place to park. Most of the restaurants do not have a place for you to park if you are looking for somewhere to eat. All of the curbside parking is taken by the locals that live there, even if they are not parked there for business or dining.

Berkeley is home to the University of California and has warm, cosmopolitan feel despite it being geographically small.
The restaurants are excellent, even the moderately priced ones.
It, and the neighboring cities have numerous museums.

Other than a great location, it's a pretty dank, old hotel.
Other than a great location, it's a pretty dank, old hotel. Super confusing to get around as everything is spread out in an odd way. It has an old convalescent feel to it. Just big, old, square buildings with hundreds of doors going down big halls. Smells musty. I won't be returning.

Homeless everywhere, but thankfully it was after a big storm so they were not out and aggressive as usual. Not sure it is the safest place to walk around.
If you are downtown make sure to go to Arinell's for a slice of pizza. They are about to celebrate their 50th year and it rivals the best of NYC.

We know Berkeley pretty well. This wasn't our first visit! This time we went to the Magnes Museum of Jewish Life and Culture, and the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive. Difficult to find parking in town, but that's to be expected.

Location was excellent for our purpose and that was to attend my daughter’s graduation at UC Berkeley but since we checked out early in the morning ,we did not get much from what we paid for.It would have been different had we stayed a little longer till noon ,but the city view was awesome at night and breakfast was very good.
The hotel is completely new (or renovated). Room was quite spacious and comfortable with all amenities needed - safe, coffee maker, microwave, fridge, iron, hair dryer, huge TV and a lot of USB outlets (super useful!). Private bathroom was very clean. The AC was like new and worked as expected.
Great location to stay in Berkeley. Close to BART, so easy to go to SF centre in 30 minutes. Not cheap, but if you are staying in SF for the same price, you'll be in a pretty awful district (Polk or south of Mission).
Friendly cleaning personnel and all together recommended.
It was right in what i would call the arts district if Berkley, close to music venues, the university, amazing book shops, amazing food. The hotel was really nice, and the bed fixed my sore back from the 17 hours of flying from Australia. Will definitely be back.
