I was in Des Moines to attend a funeral. Wildwood Lodge was comforting from the moment I entered. The “Minnesota Northwoods” decor was an immediate relaxing environment for me and the staff was very friendly. My room was large, clean, comfortable, and inviting with the low-light and comfy chair in the corner and the continuation of the Northwoods decor. I also enjoyed the step-in shower. The all inclusive breakfast was totally adequate and provided a variety from cereal, oatmeal, bagels, waffles to eggs , gravy and biscuits etc. I greatly appreciated that check-out was not until noon!

Property is absolutely beautiful. Our room was big and clean and the breakfast was fantastic! They now have their pool, workout center, and laundry 24/7 which is nice.

This hotel is within one block of the Clive Aquatic Center. The hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool, free Wi-Fi and a continental breakfast.

Shower handle came off wall, smelled like mold super strong. Gap in the door and wall about half inch wide. Slope in floor so bad I fell and took picultures of the consequecing bruises thay I have a week later. Breakfast consistent of waffles and cereal. Nothing slightly healthy. No pool as thought. The shower curtain was so gross it had several different colors of stains and toothpaste from god knows what, hair all over in the shower. I did make them move me rooms, and the shower never got hot and no soap in the room it was empty... never again

Located off Interstate 80 and less than a 10-minute drive from downtown Des Moines, this rustic-themed Iowa hotel features guest rooms with flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi.

Staff was hard to find. Pool was overly busy with no one watching the children. Kids were shooting water out of the pool at parents sitting on the side.

    They charge extra $25 without letting me know before my arrival at the and I did tell the front desk person that they sent an email telling me that I will be fine and all of the sudden the i saw that amount taking from my credit card and I checked out at 3:30 pm

    The breakfast options were VERY limited.

    The breakfast options were VERY limited. Cereal n toast n a mini cinnamon bun. That was disappointing to say the least. And the pool was not available. It's one if the reasons I booked that hotel. There were tons of food options very close and it was close to the interstate.

    The room wasn’t too clean spider webs on sailing the bathroom paint coming off the water from mildew The tub has rust in it that tub dazzle was pulling apart from the wall . Also the male staff in the morning was very rude .

    Stay away from here! Safty hazzard and not worth the money. I literally would not stay here again if they paid me. I was really enjoying my trip until we stayed here, i was eager to leave and get back to enjoying my trip. Room had a front door that was very difficult to open, and a bathroom door that didnt shut all the way, and was difficult to open once it was mostly shut. No breakfast, safty hazards, and hard uncomfortable beds.

    We stay at Wildwood Lodge at least twice a year on travels back and forth to see family. The staff are amazing - ALWAYS - and it’s nice to see familiar faces even if they don’t remember us. They are very pet friendly with only a $25 fee per dog. The hotel is always clean and their continental breakfast is pretty darn good.

    The hotel was beautiful! The room was fantastic and the staff especially John was incredible! I cant say anything more positive about our stay! We will be coming back. Already have a weekend booked for next month and look forward to coming back! The breakfast was amazing and the whole experience was just fantastic!

    Very pleasant hotel set in a small trading estate. Room and bathroom were a good size, dinner was in a Cracker Barrel just opposite. Breakfast in the hotel was good for a 2* hotel, large car park
