We have stayed here 3 times before while our RV was getting fixed. We stayed for 2 weeks.this time and at first it was great. Staff was good room was kinda of clean, but ok. Breakfast was good the first week but then they ran out of eggs and said there was an egg shortage. The stores around us had plenty of eggs. Disliked · The last few days we started to get bit by something. Then the last night we found what we thought were bed bugs. It was clear from the couple we found and comparing them to the ones we found on the internet. Then we found more dead ones and then live active ones. We also found a few larger ones between the headboard of the bed and the mattress. We contacted the staff and she told us we would have to talk to the manager in the morning. We contacted the manager who pretty much dismissed it and said the only thing she could do was switch us rooms and see what the owner wanted to do about it. We were supposed to pick up our RV that morning but needed to stay so we could clean all our clothes and other items so we did not contaminate our RV. Then we were told that the owner wanted us to leave and refused to let us stay because he had to call an exterminator and see if they were really bed bugs. She told us she did not know how they would have come into the hotel but maybe from one of the construction workers that was staying there. Our bedding and towels were replaced several times during our stay and we have never had bed bugs before. Needless to say it has been a nightmare and very expensive to clean our clothes and other items and have had to throw items away that could not be cleaned and clothes were ruined due to having to clean them in HOT water and dry on high heat. they were completely unwilling to help us in any way to get rid of them or anything else.Guest review byDarryl S - Review score

The price was inexpensive, which we only needed a place to sleep so this worked out well as we didn't expect the extra expense. The best thing about this property - THE INDIAN GUY!!! This is an excellent hotel.
This is an excellent hotel. Old historical building with lots of updates. Very clean and HUGE rooms. They have 2 great restaurants and a bar with very friendly staff also. They are very accomodating. We went to a concert that was literally next door to the hotel. The only thing that I didn't like was that the parking garage was right next to the hotel but you still had to pay $15.00 to park in it. Why not just include that into your room rate? With out a doubt Baymont in Ellkart is a 5 star. Don’t let the low price fool you. I travel extensively and this has to be in my top 5. The young man who checked us in was very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and neat. Then there was a delicious breakfast waiting for us. Nice choice to pick from. Everything look good and it was. The biscuits taste like they just came out of the oven. I liked nothing about this trip! I reserved a room and it was not in their system so I had to buy a room on site. The room was not clean when I checked in. And I was charged twice for it! You can walk everywhere and anywhere. Everyone is so welcoming and nice, you can never go wrong. So many restaurants,thrift stores, stores, shopping outlets and then there's so much things you can do you can't sit still! You got trolleys and scooters, Ubers and such..
