Grand Junction, this is not a location town. People super unfriendly, businesses unprofessional. I was there working with a nonprofit, as a fly on a wall. I observed the pro-Trump workers first hand. The whole town is Pro Trump, not a lot of diversity which is sad. Love all the places in Colorado, except this place. Grand Junction, Sorry I would drive, extra hours to avoid your racist and unfriendly approach to human life.

Grand Junction has that small town feel in a big city.
Grand Junction has that small town feel in a big city. Offers everything a big city does. Friendly people and a absolutely gorgeous, beautiful area. Very scenic there and all the communities around there within miles. The population is perfect. I'm sure there's much more it offers than I have listed but I'm a fine artist so the "sightseeing" was plenty enough for me. I love it!

We only stayed one night but we enjoyed the town very much.
We only stayed one night but we enjoyed the town very much. Our hotel was great and we went downtown to Pour Decisions for dinner. We dined outside and enjoyed our meal. There were lots of people walking around the area and going to a show across the street from where we were dining. It felt safe and was an enjoyable evening.

Our primary goal was to get near to Colorado National Monument ... this worked ... and it was well worth the travel. It was also near enough to Black Canyon of the Gunnison that we enjoyed a day there too.

Colorado National Monument is beautiful and interesting to visit, with a good visitor’s center and helpful staff. It makes a beautiful backdrop for Grand Junction, a sprawling town with a hometown feel. Good restaurants to choose from.

A very nice smaller town, but really growing.
A very nice smaller town, but really growing. Has everything you could want, restaurants, shopping, airport and an amazing view of the mountains. The evening sunsets were the best. There's lots to do and see there.

The room was comfortable and decently clean - there was a bit of a funky smell in there which we couldn't get out as the windows didn't open. The front desk staff were a bit unfriendly, but we've come to expect that in bigger chains. The hotel was pretty far out from the main action of GJ but probably good if you were needing to be close to the airport. They talked a lot of game about the hot breakfast, which was just ok. Comfortable and mostly clean (if you can ignore the smell) were the best parts.
Hotel was really clean, the town had a lot of cool boutique shops, and food options to visit. The best stop off on i70 for a layover if you are travelling between colorado / Utah. Lots of options for breakfast, hot options and cold veggie options too. Easy to park and a gas station meters away from the forecourt. Pool and a few games if you have some time to kill. VERY comfy beds
