Informed us after booking that tvs were not working. Gave a discount when we asked, but see full charge on credit card. Now we will have to dispute that, not happy.

Couldn't get pop on site from pop machine took the money n no pop no money back. Had to leave proterty n then no fridge to keep it cold. Had king bed n queen pillows. Not like the place in Johnston that's for sure. Double billed me he corrected it but I had to wait 10 days for my money back dang. Grinnell is a college town but they are improving it all the time. They are working a Historical Museum (but do not know the date it will be open).
They have a Wal-Mart and it is less than a mile from the Country Inn and it is easy on and off from Interstate 80.

This hotel is without a doubt the best option to stay in the quaint little town. The repurposed old school building was a pleasant surprise, with lots of space in the corridors as well as the rooms. I loved the modern clean design. The room was well laid out and spotless, with lots of privacy. We could park our car directly in front of the hotel.
This hotel was way better than I expected for the price point, and much nicer than other hotels for around this price in other small towns. It's very clean, well-kept and the rooms are nicely decorated. The bathroom had a new tub/shower. The staff are SUPER nice. Recommend
