Kingman lies on the old Route 66, there is a museum in downtown Kingman which covers the history of Route 66 whilst a long section of Route 66 runs north, sadly with no real landmarks. This is a city you hopefully just stop in.
This is a city you hopefully just stop in. Andy Devine is a long road and it's a busy road for travelers but the drug addicts which you immediately encounter will start asking for money and the are EVERYWHERE on this street. Friendly city.
Friendly city. Ate at Calico’s restaurant across the street from Arizona Inn , the motel we stayed at. Great food and menu choices. If you’re staying in Kingman try the Arizona Inn, can’t beat it for the price. Very clean and comfortable. Kingman would be a good place to retire to. Big enough to have everything you need but not the rudeness of a larger city. If my wife and I were a little younger, we would probably move there.Guest review byAnonymous - Review score

Kingman is doing a lot to keep its heritage pure, be it Route 66 or the Wild West history. The Route 66 museum is one of the best in the country (I've been to many) housed in the old power plant which, in and of itself, is amazing. Great food and beverage options, wonderful places to walk around and discover old, historic, and well maintained buildings, and at least a couple of museums. Close to Oatman & Seligman, and all the cool stops along the way (there are many) to either. And only a hop/skip from Las Vegas.Guest review byMichaelUnited States
