Situated within 9.1 km of Adams Museum in Lead, Whitetail Creek Camping Resort features accommodation with seating area. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi.

We really enjoyed our stay at Whitetail creek resort. The deluxe cabin was great. We loved the sound of the creek right outside of the door, and the whole experience was very relaxing. We were traveling by motorcycle, and our next leg was up through Spearfish Canyon. This was just a short ride from the resort to Cheyene Crossings (great breakfast) which is at the south end of the Spearfish Canyon ride.

Love it here. This is our second visit. The hotel is perfectly located with free parking and the staff are just fabulous. Our room was a bit warm and they sorted it straight away. Very homely hotel with lots of character. We came end of March beginning of April this time and weather went from snowing to warm sunshine. Every day was different and we never knew what we would wake up to.

There are many things to do in the area, much of them are closed in the winter, except for outdoor activities. We have been there many times throughout the year, summer is always hopping with something going on like Hot Harley Nights, the Corvette rally, Sturgis week, Mustang rally, off road 4x4s etc. Winter time it is snow mobiling and skiing.

Good event, food was good everywhere we ate.

Good event, food was good everywhere we ate. People very friendly. Reminds of small town where I live. They even had gas station like ours, if paying cash pump first then pay inside. Not many places like that.

Staying in Lead was peaceful and quiet.

Staying in Lead was peaceful and quiet. A grocery store is right across the street and only a 5 minute drive to the action and activity in Deadwood. This hotel is less than a year old and still looks brand new.

We did not actually visit Lead much itself, but stayed just outside of the town at the Blackstone Hotel. Lead is filled to the brim with gold mining history. Many of the wonderful old buildings of that time are still there. Quite a few B&B's available. It is worthwhile to check out the old Homestake Mine and the renovated theatre. Spectacular stuff. DYI: Calamity Jane eventually made Lead her home. Deadwood history and it's characters are only 3 miles away. Beautiful territory for viewing the natural surrounds of the gulch.

We were driving to Yellow Stone, stop by and stay here for just one night. I will say this hotel is the best one through our whole traveling, not only because of the price but also the equipment in the room and good hot breakfast.
