Miami is a beautiful city with rich culture.
There is entertainment for all tastes.
We came to Miami for Ultra- a 3 day music festival and the event was very well organized. The metrolines are great for travel.
I found that everything I needed was within 3 blocks of my hotel- movies, restaurants, gas stations, shopping.

It is stupid expensive, to a point you start to be afraid of entering a place. And it is not to service and exclusive cuisine you are paying, it's just over-spending plus the absurd 20% service rate.
Miami is losing it's unique culture and touch, and has just become a bit empty, with soul, and extremely expensive place. Plus, the airport is a nightmare.
Not my favourite place anymore.

I stopped over for 3 days en route to Nicaragua.
I stopped over for 3 days en route to Nicaragua. I visited South Beach around 10 years ago and wanted to visit a restaurant we had visited before. Joes Crab Shack. Which was the only thing which didn’t disappoint.
The hotels, bars, restaurants and cabs were massively overpriced. $48 for a sprite and a beer. $28 for a sandwich!
Spent more in 3 days than a month in Nicaragua

Our host was awesome. Very responsive, understanding and kind. They went over and beyond just to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Almost everything was thought out and made available. Our host also made available to us (very quickly) items that were even non-essential upon our request. The home was clean, about 20mins drive to Miami International Airport, 20mins drive to Miami South beach and very close to shopping malls. I also liked that we didn't need any keys. It was an easy keyless self check-in and check-out.
I loved the size of this unit & the kitchen set-up which enabled us to organise our own breakfast, etc. The rooms were quiet, modern, clean, a good size. I liked the free parking, too. We had 2 nights here and then headed downtown for 2 nights to be "closer to the action." Doral is a nice neighbourhood nearby (not so much Hialeah...) & you get a lot more bang for your buck compared with South Beach, downtown, etc. So as long as you have a car and don't mind a bit of a drive I'd recommend it.
The room is extremely spacious. We travelled with four luggage bags and were able to fit in the room very comfortably. There is a coffee machine in your room and complimentary iced water and apples and in the lobby. The location is right at the heart of Miami. We were able to walk to many places and take public transport to south beach from outside the hotel. The staff are also very friendly!
The house was very clean and cozy, the kids liked the table hockey very much.
We traveled by car from Orlando to Miami, so it was great to find popcorn, cookies , coffee, juice.. when we arrived there.
The location was perfect, near to the airport, not far from Miami beach and to Miami Downtown.
Great comfy beds, close to the airport and bayside marketplace, but not on south beach which is ideal to avoid tourist trap prices. Nice Publix shop across the street for any essentials. Starbucks in reception is ok but a little pricey.
