A lot to explore in the Berkshires.
A lot to explore in the Berkshires. Pittsfield is good because Lenox, Lee & Stockbridge are all close. But it's not as expensive as staying in those locations. Berkshire Museum was nice, Arrowhead was a great visit & I really enjoyed hiking Monument Mountain. Barrington Stage Company & Berkshire Theater Group had fine produtions. Basic room in a throw-back motel was perfect for us in Pittsfield. Large dormroom size refrigerator with a actual freezer which is great to refreeze ice packs for your cooler. Good TV, which important for us. The only suggestion would be to add acouple of small ice trays so ice cubes would be available. Pittsfield is a city with small town vibes.
Pittsfield is a city with small town vibes. It has this charming, slow paced lifestyle, that differs from other cities. Generally, people do not seem to be in much of a hurry here. Also, Pittsfield has a beautiful landscape, with accessible/convient hiking trails, and lakes. I just wish there were a better night life here.Guest review byKristie

There was a dedicated staff member making sure everything was full. We went down the street for dinner to the Roasted Garlic which was a great little spot, helpfully recommended by the hotel staff.
