Facility was very clean, rooms spacious and location was great for Bryant and close to highways. Front desk staff were not helpful and completely disinterested in answering questions.

My husband and I went to the pool. There was a staff , looked to be one staff surrounded with other late teens early 20s ages At the chairs. We went to the other end walked in and they were so loud. Laughing talking loud it All echos and I don’t believe staff should be hanging out in pool area with there friends while the people that paid to stay there wanted to enjoy pool..

    Smithfield suited our needs for this trip.

    Smithfield suited our needs for this trip. There was ample retail to assist with some items we needed. Our business took us to a nearby town not allowing us much time to explore but the town looked interesting. We did notice that this area evidently is home to university/college students but that presented no problems whatsoever.

    Hotel excellent but needed a car for the location.

    Hotel excellent but needed a car for the location. Further away from Newport than I realised. Service excellent and hotel very good and comfortable. Wouldn't stay more than 2 nights as not a lot to do around there. Strangely enough no changing room or shower for using after use of pool or gym.

    we had a wonderful time at this holiday inn in smithfield...

    we had a wonderful time at this holiday inn in smithfield and we were able to visit our grandchildren who live close by. it was a wonderful experience, the room was clean, roomy except we were disappointed that the breakfast was not available and that the pool was not in service.

    I spent 20 mins waiting for an attendant to greet us.

    I spent 20 mins waiting for an attendant to greet us. Our room was given away. After we came back... waited another 20 mins for the same person to assist us... we were told the hotel was completing booked and that there was nothing that could be done. The staff member blamed a supervisor from a previous shift and reluctantly told us a new room across the street could be booked, meeting our request for two beds (the room they tried to give us only had one for 4 people). Upon calling the new hotel, we were told no such booking had been made by phone, email, internet, text... in any way, but that it could be done at that moment. We arrived minutes later only find two bookings and no ability to provide a receipt of a zero charge from the other hotel with whom they appeared to be affiliated with.

    I travel a lot, and it is a best hotel I have ever stayed in! The room is very clean and comfortable, the staff is so friendly and helpful! The breakfast area is very cozy, the breakfast itself is excellent - eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, pastries, yoghurts, everything is delicious and fresh. The only problem is the noisy air conditioner. It’s time to replace it with a quiet and modern one.

    It was the first time that we stayed at this hotel, as we always stay at other nearby hotels. It is at an adequate location to get us closest to our events since the other hotels were already all booked.
