The check in was quick and front desk staff was very friendly. Also i had a minor request regarding an extra blanket and it was handled promptly and efficiently. There was plenty of free parking available. The location of the hotel is convenient, close to beach and other spots. Would surely stay again!

Basecamp is a gem! I spent several nights there for a ski weekend and loved having a home away from home. It seems to have been a standard motor inn but has been redone to be more of a family vacation/backpacker hangout. The rooms are clean and the beds are delightful. It is nicely outfitted in a modern camping theme, with firepits and a shared deck and also a great little lounge, with a fire and tables to sit at and a small bar/snackbar and a microwave; also there is a large TV and board games. The location is great, it is right across the street from a CVS, a Safeway, a coffee shop, a breakfast place, and an entrance to the lakeside bike/walking path. Pretty much everything in Tahoe City is a short walk away no matter where you stay. The staff here are really nice, and I want to thank Casey in particular he was very accommodating.

This was my first time in Tahoe, so I didn’t know what to expect. The Elet is more of a motel than a hotel stuck in the 1980-90s, until you get inside the rooms. Positives: newly remodeled rooms, comfortable bed, and thoughtful details including snacks and toiletries. Negatives: The bed sits on a metal box that loudly clangs when you accidentally step into it. There is some traffic noise as it is very close to the road. Although the air fresheners are a decent smell, they are way too strong, giving me a headache. I put it in the microwave to solve that problem.
