Staff is great, friendly, helpful. Included breakfast is served the patio or in room. Rooms have balconies. Good location, good value, easy access to José Ignacio. Laid back atmosphere compared to nearby expensive and teaming Punta del Este. Room doors and keys are adorned with whimsical, sexual artistic drawings. Match the key to your room. If that bothers one, just look away and enjoy the view from your balcony.
Featuring a terrace, La Balsa is set in José Ignacio.Free WiFi is available. Guests at the hotel can enjoy a continental breakfast. The nearest airport is Capitán de Corbeta Carlos A.

The place was very clean and comfortable. The owners were very quick to respond when the gas for cooking ran out. It was very quiet at night.

We had a wonderful stay there. Beautiful architecture.
We had a wonderful stay there. Beautiful architecture. The staff spoke english and were outstanding. We had a small electrical problem in our room and they upgraded us to a one bedroom apartment. It might have been because it was our 55th wedding anniversary. We had a spacious room with a balcony. They also had a beach area where we could use their chairs and umbrellas. We used their well suppled kitchen and ate in.
I would reccommend this hotel for any visitor.

It's hard to put a finger on just what makes José Ignacio so...
It's hard to put a finger on just what makes José Ignacio so entrancing. On the surface it's a rather ramshackle, unassuming little beach town. But upon further inspection, it's chock full of innovative, creative, whimsical architecture (mostly mid century modern), a very becalmed pace of life and dirt streets leading to sand-floored multi-starred restaurants full of of patrons who look like they've stepped out of a Neiman Marcus catalog. The dining was spectacular. Despite the under-the-radar sophistication, staff everywhere were welcoming, helpful and easygoing. Oh, and those gorgeous towering pine trees!

Jose Ignacio is a beautiful place.
Jose Ignacio is a beautiful place. Beaches are very nice and you can find very expensive and nice restaurants. The village was a little bit destroyed with a big avenue at the entrance in replacement of the former street. A big mistake made by local authorities but it is still a beautiful place. A little bit too expensive. For these prices, the place should be wonderful. It was but it's not anymore. So sad local people destroyed this so beautiful natural place. But still very nice if you live in the region.

Too expensive for what it is.
Too expensive for what it is. Even though the beach is beautiful and the vibe is curated, prices emulate Switzerland for half the service and half the diversity. Also, if you request the price of a product or service, you might get one price estimate the first day, immediately followed by a higher price the next day and so on. They are disconnected from international tourism and seem to think that a foreigner will pay anything to stay there.

Everything, not to describe, heaven on earth! Everything was right! Please stay in this place, with pictures you cannot describe. The view, the pool, the breakfast, the attention of the team... everything just perfect and oh de kajak, the bike... you just take it.... Top Oh and just a few km. from the beach of Josè Ignacio... and if you want the team arrange all your lunch and diners in Josè Ignacio... but their own kitchen is fine too...
Absolutely everything. The location, the room, the facilities, the restaurant, the pool, everything was great. I loved the touches like the provision of beach towels, chairs and umbrella. If we’d stayed longer the kitchen was well equipped and we could have catered for ourselves. José Ignacio is magnificent, even in off-season when there’s very little open.
Tha staff was extremely nice, Santiago and Andrea were always available and ready to help. Upon our arrival we got free upgrade to the best room of the resort with amazing views. The outside area was very peaceful and perfect for a family weekend getaway.
My stay at Bahia Vik was wonderful. The hotel team is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is amazing with good options. The hotel is very quiet and very clean.
