Located alongside a lake, Old Mac Daddy offers quirky accommodations in a variety of holiday homes and refurbished vintage trailers.

We loved how engaged all the staff and management were, in particular Denver. All the activities for the kids and the fact that they did extras like free ice lollies, popcorn, roasting marshmallows, pizza making etc. These did not go unnoticed. We were at Daddy's Hideaway and they warn you on the website that you need a 4x4 or SUV to get there and they are not joking - thanks for the heads up:-). There is one turn in particular to keep an eye out for.

Offering garden views, Beaumont Family Wines in Botrivier provides accommodations, an open-air bath, a garden, and barbecue facilities.

I booked Pepper Cottage for 2 nights. Such a beautiful, charming cottage in a lovely setting. They left freshly baked sourdough (fabulous), eggs, milk and butter in the cottage. We had breakfast at the restaurant on the farm - very good food and deli.

Quaint, conveniently located close to Cape Town and close to so many wine, fruit, hiking, mountain biking and other attractions. The flowers are magnificent, the views lovely, its quiet enough and the locals are super friendly. Beaumont family wines, the Hotel, the Shunting station bar.

Booked this hidden gem for a last minute winter getaway, because it had a jacuzzi and big fireplace. It was an amazing place to snuggle in with family for cold winter mornings! The kitchen is huge and easy to use, all appliances worked well. The linens were all high quality and warm. The location is excellent, next to a padstal with Bootlegger Cafe, or across the way is an excellent local restaurant called Ecology. But the best part is the friendliness of Anele and Luis, who are genuinely warm, friendly, and very responsive to inquiries. We cannot wait to return in the summer and use the pool!

We really went to relax and enjoy the nature and to switch off after one year through the pandemic. So we didn't really go around. There is wine farms where you can do tasting, there is a olive farm, a cheese factory and an OU MEUL RESTORANT if you wanted to go out. We rather stated home and enjoyed the peacefulness and at night siting in the hot tub with a glass of wine and a fire sizzling looking at the stars to recharge totally.
