The residents are very friendly and helpful.

The residents are very friendly and helpful. They will always offer assistance when asked or even when they notice you are unsure about something. Although the town looks under-developed, I noticed progress with regards to the resurfacing of some of the poor roads. Progress just seemed very slow.

Old town falling apart due to complete neglect by local authority. Theft from parked vehicle mid morning in front of municipal building left me without clothing and travel documents. Tarred streets are in very poor condition, local citizens fill holes with oil soaked ground to try and keep going. Very few street lights working. Water leaks take long to fix. Trip'n serves good, well priced food in a relaxed setting. Google it!

People were very friendly. Restaurants AMAZING!

People were very friendly. Restaurants AMAZING! Incredible to find food like that in a little town, but I would definitely stop there for a meal again. TRUE LIVING and THE SHED were outstanding! The shops were well stocked and like I said, people really friendly. Not much happens there for tourists, but its worth a night over. Thanks. We will be back.

    I was.

I was. So surprised with the beauty of the buildings and the furniture. When the people saw, when I arrived at the front desk, that I have difficulty walking, they moved me t a downstairs room, without me asking. I did appreciate this very much. All the staff were very friendly and kind. I ate two meals a day in your dining room, I enjoyed all the food so much.

    A beautiful Karoo town.

A beautiful Karoo town. Most certainly still the capital of the Cape Midlands. There is much to do and see in and around town. It is evident that the community and other private institutions are doing much to preserve and maintain the town and its infrastructure.

A beautifully laid out space with modern touches. Self-catering is possible with amenties to cook simple meals such as a microwave, 2 plate stove, and fridge. The aircon was a delight, it really made our stay even more comfortable with the intense heat. The bathroom was extremely clean with lovely finishes and a large shower. The host was also very kind and accommodating. We will stay here again for sure and recommend this gem to anyone visiting Cradock.

The individual cottages are quite delightful. Very spacious, quite unique in their decor and furnishings, all befitting restored artisan cottages. The story behind the reclamation of the whole street is amazing and so worth experiencing. The set meal at the hotel is good and the atmosphere is in keeping with the whole Market St revitalisation.
