Incredible views and amazing design. The cottage was very well thought out with a living room, separate bedroom, and connecting outdoor space. Facilities were very thoughtful — outlets everywhere, functional bathroom, etc. Food was very good.
Featuring free WiFi, Walkerbay Accommodations offers accommodations on the seafront in Franskraalstrand, 16 mi from Hermanus. Free private parking is available on site.

Great place for the price! Karin is very sweet and accommodating. Towels and sheets are provided. There’s a mini fridge that was useful. Shower had hot water for 3 people. Parking was in the back of the house and felt pretty safe. Not many great restaurant options around. Quick drive to the main road. Overall a great experience.
Amazing place and location. The staff were very friendly though, especially Carol who makes my wife day so special on her birthday much appreciated, she even upgraded our room that was amazing
The ocean view was spectacular, and the breakfast was next level anytime again for me to visit Sea Star Lodge.

I loved the laid-back feeling, just appropriate for switching off and being away from it all. The place is just some 30 minutes away from Hermanus. One is able to enjoy both towns on a visit to that part of the world.

Stunning, modern and luxurious.... Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home had everything we could possibly need. Exquisitely decorated and everything, right down to the cutlery and glassware, is high quality. Bed was extremely comfortable. Lovely handwritten welcome note and complimentary bottle of wine on our arrival.

Small, laid-back town with many activities in and around and some good restaurants. I also enjoyed visiting nearby towns like Hermanus & Stanford. Highlights were Shark Cage Diving, Klein River Cheese Farm and the Elgin Valley Wine Farms. Some nice hiking options in the area as well & De Kelders is great for whale watching and walks along the ocean.

Gansbaai still feels like a real fishing town although there is a big centre with Spar as the main tenant.
There is a lot to do if you are someone that needs to stay active: walking trails, horse riding, wine tasting, and bicycle routes. You can go shark diving or watch the seals at Dyer Island.
You can walk all the way from Kleinbaai to Franskraal or just relax on the beach.
You can play in the lagoon or swim in the sea. Never a dull moment.

A lovely overnight stay in this small guesthouse in Gansbaai run by the delightful Vilieria, who made us feel truly at home. A great option if you’re in the area for a whale watching or shark diving trip. Alas, high winds meant no boats were sailing, so instead we simply watched from our beachfront terrace. And were treated to the sight of at least two whales close inshore. The home-cooked breakfast was delicious too. Warmly recommended!
You can't get better views of the bay and sea than here. The apartment was perfect with everything we needed. There were whales right in front of the house and we had a great time spotting them. You are very close to Gansbaai and everything you need is in close vicinity. We will definitely visit again.
Combines the best of hotel facilities with the warmth & coziness of a home
- Derick was a great host, very welcoming and gave a lot of info/recommendations for places close by
- the room was very cozy & comfortable
- location was great - fantastic sunset view next door
- great value for money
Located right on the beach opposite the shark diving and whale watching boats' launch site, there was always something going on to watch. The Great White House restaurant was lovely, great food and good service - reasonably priced. Sitting under the whale skeleton was neat.
The Breakfast was exceptional. Best rusks! The view is just amazing. And the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The hotel manager allowed us to park our motor bikes in the garage out of the rain, so accommodating, we really appreciate it.
