Such a sweet little cottage. Great location, end of the road brings you to the Main Street with all the cafes and restaurants. Easy check in, great Wi-Fi. Pool was lovely and such a large peaceful garden.
Some very nice stores. Sadly trading times are not conducive to stimulating business. Nice people and the all too short Saturday market ( 10-12 am) is well stocked. Restaurants are not quite on the spot with rather poor offerings. It is apparent that Pizza is the thing to go for.. All in all its a good getaway, but could be a lot better.

One of the last "last old world charm " places but is becoming a little scruffy especially the main street and which needs resurfacing.
Eating out is VERY expensive especially wine prices which are 30% above Cape Town equivalent eateries.

We've frequently enjoyed Greyton over the years.
We've frequently enjoyed Greyton over the years. This time was quite different, as one cannot walk into the Reserve with a dog. We were lucky to be able to walk right out of the back gate of our delightful accommodation allowing us key access by the host giving us walking access to the mountain.
Many thanks for the hospitality and the beautiful views. The beds were very comfortable. The space is cosy, and we enjoyed the decor and the lush outdoor lawn to lie on.

Greyton is a charming town with enough activities in and around town to keep you busy for a few days. If you don't mind driving, it is a fair distance from Arniston, Hermanus and even Franschhoek to which you can easily do day trips. There are many restaurants to choose from, sweet gift shops, a chocolatier and the gallery of a well known artist. Not to mention the leather shop, the perfumery where you can mix your own perfume and a few nurseries. Behind the town there is a nature reserve in which you can bike or hike and of course the historic town of Genadendal is just a 10 minute drive away. Also worth mentioning if the fact that Greyton is not as commercialised as some of these towns can get; a gem indeed.

Beautiful little town with quaint shops and lots of restaurants to eat at. What i found amazing was the horses with foals roaming freely in the roads. These belong to the coloured community nearby and the white people actually feed and water them.
Another highlight for me was going to the Greyton Animal Farm Sanctuary, a few kms out of town in the farmlands, and there we met 70 year old Nicky and her team who rescue sheep, goats, cows, calves, pigs and other farm animals who have been abused or mis-treated. AMAZING person and set up. Worth the visit

Greyton was a surprise.
Greyton was a surprise. You drive to it on quite a wide, well made road which vanishes once you arrive and becomes a small street with horses roaming wild!
There are normally adequate restaurants and shops / galleries to mooch around as long as you don’t go on a Sunday and Monday as we did when most are shut unfortunately.

Via's Guesthouse is very well located on the main road, but in the back of the little restaurant so it is very quiet. The rooms are big and comfortable. We arrived late and Matthew was waiting for us to show us around. We stayed 2 nights and truly enjoyed out stay in Greyton... it was very relaxing and peaceful.
We forgot our jackets and Matthew helpt us to get them back to Cape Town.
We loved the location and the swimming pool. Coming off the mountain in the heat of summer the swimming pool was a real winner. We didn't have a chance to eat at the hotel, however we had some local (as in brewed at the premises) beer and taht was a God sent. The manager and the staff were all amazing.
Greyton is beautiful and Fiore is well placed to enjoy all the town has to offer. The room was comfortable, clean and the surroundings lovely. Breakfast was outstanding and the host went out of his way to welcome us, We would definitely stay at Fiore again.
We went to Greyton to wander around the Rose & Garden Fair. When we arrived we were greeted by Chloe who was amazing and so friendly. She put out some beautiful bouquets of flowers for our arrival. The house was well equipped and very clean.
Gorgeous gardens and a lovely hotel. Really enjoyed our room and breakfast. However, the pool was very dirty and as it was 38 degrees it was really disappointing we couldn't swim. Fortunately the air con worked!
