The book in process was easy and friendly and helpful lady at reception. For the money we paid for three rooms it was adequate.

Mainly went to visit the biggest manmade hole in the world. Very interesting though we needed to correct a couple of historical facts about the first diamond found. It was raining quite hard so we could have spent a bit longer looking ar the period displays.

Kimberly is a very beautiful city, it rich history makes it more attractive from visitors outside, being from Durban it totally different, the weather was very good not as hot as I would have expected, but it a place you need to plan very well before visiting during summer as some days can be extremely hot & dry

Its a historic town whose glory has now faded.
Its a historic town whose glory has now faded.
The Big Hole was definitely worth a visit, but most of the other historic houses and museums that we wanted to visit are closed during the weekend. (so, doesn't make sense for an out of town visitor at all)

I took my daughters on a roadtrip and we said lets go and explore what they learned in school in history and geography. We choose Kimberley for the Big Hole and Diamonds exploration. all 3 children when I put the option of a hotel stay jumped to say we must stay at Protea hotel. Wow you made the stay so so special. The staff went over and above - were so so friendly.
thank you for the excellent and the memories we could make as a father and daughters roadtrip.
Sincerely appreciated
Owen
I was the PA who arranged for him. Mr Prinsloo who slept there said that he was firstly to a room where the bedlinen was dirty and he needed to ask for a clean place, then they gave him a nice self catering flat to sleep in. He said the flat was very good.
The host is conveniently on the premises and assisted with queries.
Neat newly built and fitted apartments. It's much bigger than similar accommodation.
It is located in a serene environment within a decent distance from CBD and Kimberley Central.
