The cottage was fully fenced and private. Having our dogs was peace of mind with the fully fenced cottage.

The Staff really go the extra mile to ensure that you are taken care of and comfortable. The units are clean and warm in the winter - with all the small details taken care of. The grounds are beautiful and it is close to everything on the meander

Lovely scenery although getting there you drive through squatters. However, centrally located and close to all facilities and activities. Lovely restaurant called La Lampara with great service and food. Highgate wine estate picnic was a great family activity. Quad bikes up the road at Checkpoint 103.

We loved the cottage.
We loved the cottage. It was just what we needed, pity it was just for 2 nights, Hopefully next time it will be longer. The river below was in full flow due to all the recent rains and more while we were there. We took a walk down to have a closer look. The area is lush and lovely, but then so is the whole of the Midlands Meander !!

Lidgetton in general is one of the nicer areas to travel through on the Midlands Meander. There are lots of shops close together and some very nice restaurants available. It also still contains a few gems like Culamoya Chimes and Swissland Cheese, which thankfully survived the lockdown.

The rooms are very private with their own patio and lovely view onto the lawns. They are very spacious and decorated upmarket with their own seating area. The king bed is so comfortable with lovely pillows and good quality white linen. The large bathroom has a walk-in shower and also modern fittings. The hotel itself has a lovely dining area, bar and the staff are super friendly and on point. The food was amazing! I would highly recommend Lythwood.
Very nice venue in the middle of nowhere. Come here for rest and tranquility. Nice and friendly staff. We could chose our room out of three. Diner was surprisingly good with high standards. We recommend this hotel for sure and hope to come back some day.
The staff were very helpful and efficient. The atmosphere quiet and restful. The views are superb. We have spent the best night in months in this hotel! Very impressed! Thank you very much! Will be back!
