We loved the wildness of Manyeleti, and felt much closer to nature here than at Kruger. I feel that people are unaware of the real impact on the nature of things like synthetic soaps and compost toilets should be mandatory. I went into the game reserve for an afternoon self game...
I went into the game reserve for an afternoon self game drive. The entrance fee was 55 rands. It was during the dry season so when I first drove in I did not see any animals. But when I got to the main dam I was astonished by the number of animals that were surrounding the dam. At one spot, I witnessed hundreds of impalas and waterbuck drinking and grazing around the dam, heard of elephants and pride of lions sitting in the shade next to the dam. I do recommend booking the game drive in the park as the roads in the park is not so suitable for 4x2. Guides are very good and use radio with other lodges in order to easely spot the games. We went with the purpose of taking pictures and got very satisfied. There are no fences arround so the animals can come to your patio. The family which runs the camp is very friendly.
