Set on South Africa’s wild West Coast, in the authentic fishing village of Paternoster, these exquisite cottages are located right on the beach.

The unit was clean, neat & tidy. The location was amazing...with beach right on your doorstep. Nice & private. The view was fantastic. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. The unit also had a small pool in case you could not use the beach/sea. Although it was at the end of all the housing, it was not far from all the attractions and restaurants. Parking was available too which is great. This is definitely worth looking at if you are needing a place to stay.

Located within 100 metres of Bekbaai Beach and 200 metres of Paternoster Main Beach, Linhof Boutique Guest House offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Paternoster.

Omigod! Linhof Guest House is amazing! The location--right on the beach, steps away from the wide, white, sand--is incredible. The room is beautifully appointed and the wide balcony with a view of the ocean is spectacular. Shirley and Maryanna were extremely gracious. The breakfast was delicious and, well, huge and varied. It was heavenly.

Visitors need to be careful and keep belongings locked up and out of sight. Petty theft going on. We had 2 cell phones, a watch and cash stolen from the house where our family was staying Restaurants are amazing and so are the people

I loved the peace and tranquility of the whole place; I could seriously consider retirement in Paternoster. Might not be for everybody, if you like the quiet life and are ready to give up the hustle and bustle then this is the place.

    Paternoster never dissapoints.

Paternoster never dissapoints. We had a lovely lunch at Gaatjie and a lovely lunch at De Seekat. Paternoster Lounge is also always a winner to have some lovely wine and to just chill with a cocktail while watching the beautiful ocean. Every time I visit Paternoster, I fall in love all over again this time was just too short.

A lovely little town with a beautiful beach and views.

A lovely little town with a beautiful beach and views. Great restaurants and shops. Just DO NOT buy crayfish (lobster) from the guys on the side of the road. So many people are doing this and it is encouraging criminal activity. Highly recommend Voorstrand Restaurant - excellent seafood and very well priced (cheaper than Cape Town for sure). The local brewery is fantastic and the waterfront has lovely galleries and art and craft shops.

Fabulous restaurants. Quiet village with very few tourists. All of the residents were very welcoming and friendly. Service in restaurants and shops were great. We decided 5 full days rather than 3 full days (4 nights) would be better next time.

Lovely place to get away and unwind.

Lovely place to get away and unwind. Beautiful restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We ate breakfast at Cathy's, lunch Die Sea Kat (ask for table 20 to have unobstructed view of the ocean), Dispense for something very different - amazing chocolate cake and seaweed scones (unique deli shop with interesting preserves), Leetos (could be considered fine dining with a sunset view), One Kreeftegang (waterfront) all great restaurants. OK mini store fanstastic for essentials (amazing bread selection). Tops great for wine etc. Waterfront great for a cocktail and a bit of shopping. Cosy little theatre there too that hosts live music/shows. Most places closed Monday so be aware. Also make sure to book restaurants well in advance for best tables and bookings.

The location is great for the beach, and for Leeto restaurant, 150m walk away. Parking is easy on the front drive. The room was comfortable and well equipped (fridge, hair dryer, wifi etc. all worked). It is a good base for the local area, which is what we wanted. If you want local crayfish then there are restaurants in an area at the very far end of the beach (at Paternoster Waterfront). We only discovered this on the last day from another hotel guest, as they don't appear on Google maps.

I love history and old buildings. The hotel has both. Very spacious room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. My stay was a very short stopover to meet up with old friends living in Paternoster. I did not make use of the included breakfasts as they were served on the late side for my cramped schedule. Safe parking. The hotel is PERFECTLY situated for walking excursions.

Clean and neat. Everything needed for self catering was provided. Our upstairs unit had a bit of a sea view, which was nice. Bathrooms were clean and looked newly renovated with lovely motion sensor floor level lighting perfect for nighttime bathroom visits. Comfortable walking distance to the Waterfront and even to the main beach and other restaurants.

Beautiful stay. Pet friendly. Everything you need for self catering. Not on the beach, very partial sea views. But, less than 1 minute walk to the beach. There is only 1 row of houses in front of you that separates you from the beach. Would definitely visit again. A gem.
